Clan Competition Wrapping up (Still)

With a maximum of 11 posts left for the run-on (soon to be 10, as I’m going to post tonight sometime), the clan competition is almost done. More on the importance of this competition in just a moment, but as promised, here is the simplified version of the last part of the coded transmission (blanks provided for missing letters; words are out of order). The Importance of this Competition

Ok, so I’ve been pushing this clan competition a lot, at the expense of starting on some of the other projects. Why? Quite simply, it is because I wanted to give the clan a jumpstart of sorts, and give everyone a chance to do something before roster clean up happened. Also, there were some fictional elements that the clan needed to address in the post-GJW time.

In the future, competitions will likely have stricter timelines, and you can expect run-ons to be a big part of them. Speaking of run-ons, I am pleased how this one has come so far. Sure, we had our mistakes, but those are bound to happen.

All this being said, there is still a little bit of time to submit to events if you haven’t. Go to www.tarentum.org/comp for the details.

DB News

There’s actually quite a bit, and I realized that I don’t present this as much as I should. Sure, we’re all in clan Tarentum, but we’re also members of the Brotherhood, and it is good to know what is going on.

First up, applications for Combat Master are being accepted for another 48 hours or so. Details can be found on the main DB page, either in a post from Muz or a post from Sarin.

Secondly, in the near future, there should be some new dossier features, including Force powers. I’ve seen the proposed lists of powers, and there is a wide array of things to choose from, and you’ll be able to customize your character a bit. Some powers are order specific, too, so there will be some greater involvement there.

I know the Force powers might not get everyone’s blood rushing. Some folks are just here to game and that’s all, or whatever other activity you enjoy. Still, the feature will be there for you to use if you wish. Those members that focus more on character creation/development will undoubtedly enjoy this feature the most.

Thirdly, Tron, the Wiki Tribune, is going to start enacting 1 day bans for those members that don’t use the Show Preview button. You have been warned.

Fictional Update

With the refugees driven from Yridian space and now under control, the clan has struck back at the Hutt behind the riots and murders. The infiltration team left some time ago, and there are rumors that Anshar himself is leading the mission. Meanwhile, there is no word, yet, on Doni’s condition.

Also, the Hutt’s hodgepodge fleet was driven straight into the Vong Eliad attack force, presumably destroying the Hutt fleet. Clan Tarentum is not engaging the Vong, save for those seeking to rescue Doni.
