My friends,

I’ve been holding off a bit publishing a report due in large part because I knew some changes were going to occur and wanted to make sure they were confirmed first. With Debric and Anubis leaving, it’s left Arcona in the lurch in terms of leaders. This is further compounded by Orv having RL kick his ass lately and have to step down. However, we have had contact with him and will hopefully have the puzzle scores from the feud soonish =P

Also, the final big announcement is that Quejo has decided it’s best that HQD face some fresh new leadership for a new start – he will be staying with us as leader of Prophecy Phyle, but has decided that he needs a breather after the titanic effort he put into the feud.

The Summit have debated long and hard about this, and decided the best course of action is the following: We will not be opening up applications, as HQD needs leadership now to keep it on track. As such, I’d like to congratulate SBM Zandro Erinos – he has extensive experience leading Galeres, and his unique brand of leadership will be exactly what Qel-Droma needs to get it prepped for the next GJW. Now I know a lot of you will be wondering what happens to Galeres, and I’d like to assure the Galerians that Zandro didn’t apply for this – he isn’t abandoning you; Mejas and I asked him to lead HQD as we didn’t have time to run an application process and needed someone we trusted there virtually overnight. We didn’t want to risk making the situation worse by putting in a new leader and having to groom him on the job.

Similarly, I’d like to also congratulate SW Rho d’Tana on being appointed QUA of Galeres. He’s done a fantastic job as our Clan Envoy and Aedile of Galeres and was the obvious choice for the next Quaestor. Applications for Aedile of either house are not being taken at this time.

Comps:

After the Feud, the summit and I felt it would be a good idea to ease off as there are a few DB-level events on the horizon we want you guys to be nice and fresh for, so expect a smattering of comps from your Quaestors in the next few days.

Tasks:

Other than working on the leader reshuffle and grading the Feud, I’ve had a quietly productive month working on the OOB Wiki pages, going through those and filling out the info. As always, if you want to give me a hand, please give me a shout on IRC and I’ll get you sorted on something constructive.

RL:

I’ve had a hellish busy RL month split between college, family commitments and taking the boyfriend out to a posh hotel as it was our one year anniversary!

However, I have a 3 week break now that I plan to focus around Arcona and get us back on track. Main anecdote for this week: 10000 BC – watch it and tell me the blind guy doesn’t remind you of Michael Jackson =P
