AED's Report #20

You said that there was something important you wished to discuss with me Biask?, Hel-Pa was relaxed in his synth-leather chair, behind a large desk covered in official papers.

Vodo bowed as he entered the office of his good friend, Yes my Quaestor.

Then speak your mind. You are safe hear, as you know.

I bring grave news Vodo took a seat across the desk in his usual place.

Often, the two would sit like this and discuss strategy, or new plans to govern the house more effectively, but something was different this time. Rather than looking comfortable and reclined as he usually was in this place, Vodo was rather stiff and uncomfortable. The Obelisk Prelate picked up on this and sat up quiet straight himself.

What is it?

I had another premonition.

Sklibs eyes narrowed, Again? This makes what? Five?

The Twilek Aedile nodded his acknowledgement, Correct, but this is by far the most severe of them all.

Well? Get on with it

I was in the midsts of my evening meditations when as they usually do, the premonition began a tingle at the tips of my Lekku, Vodo played gently with the end of one of his head-tails between a thumb and forefinger, which then spread over me until I was fully immersed in its power.

The Tarasin Quaestor nodded, remembered the previous explanations of this mysterious power that the Twilek had only recently begun to experience and discover, Go on.

I saw flames. Lots of flames, all over the Library, referring to the Library of Lears, leaping from terrace to terrace. I foresaw a great object of power at its heart, and me, yearning for this power, which I had let loose upon the planet in my haste to acquire it.

That doesnt sound much like you, why are you so worried?

From his sleeve, Vodos hand emerged with a jeweled amulet. It glowed with an eternal fire within, ringed by dark metal, and looked as though it had been made to be implanted into the body of one who would wear it permanently. Sklib nearly jumped out of his seat when he saw the amulet.

What do we do with it?

I will take it far away, and bury it where it will never be found. I will be gone a very long time.

Im sad to see you go my friend, Vodo nodded his thanks and left his seat.

TWO ANNOUNCMENTS!

One: Im leaving the position of Aedile as soon as Sklib can find himself a suitable replacement (HAH!). I wish all of you applying for the job good luck. Remember, those whose applications will be best considered are those with previous leadership experience below Aedile, in the Brotherhood, and are in good standing with their peers. They are active, productive, and are generally friendly people.

Two: I am collaborating with the Hex Battleteam leader, Anubis, to create an award to be given to deserving members of that battleteam, much like the Phoenix Medallion. Look forward to seeing this in the future!

CLAN AND HOUSE NEWS:

-We have 9 days left of the independence games. Get a couple done and well see about promoting you, or getting you a shiny merit award, mk? (I make no promises)

-Applications for my job are open for one more week, so get them done! Send to Sklib, Halc, and Chaos!

-This is the time of the season when your activity should be picking up, after finals of course, so be thinking of things you can do (i.e. competitions!)
