Clan Competition: Update and New Events
The clan competition “Of the Past” is in full swing. The run-on is progressing nicely with only a few minor bumps. This is good. I have yet to see or hear of any submissions to other events. Come on, folks, there is a lot up for grabs here in terms of awards, and lots of interesting stuff happening for the clan. I mean, my spirit has been ripped from my body…
Speaking of the run-on, it has been brought to my attention that some members need some help with getting involved, but we’ve moved kind of fast. If you fall into this category, please let me (or another major participant) know, and we’ll find a way to get you more involved.
On a similar note, I’ve also heard that the run-on has sparked some greater interest in the clan powers. Well, you can find a lot of info on the clan wiki pages; that is a good start. The run-on has served as a good advertisement; we’ll definitely work on making the clan powers a bigger part of the clan, and individual characters. However, I’ll admit that we don’t have some systems in place to help with that, yet.
And now onto two new events for this competition. First up, there is a 15 question trivia event attached to this e-mail. Return your answers to me. Unlike normal trivia events, crescents are up for grabs with this event.
And I’m also adding a second fiction event to help people explore the clan powers a bit, and write a story at least set on the Renegade. So, here are the details (send your submissions to me):
“Write a short story (2-6 pages, 12 pt font) about the interaction you have with the spirits (ghosts) of the Renegade. Basically, you’re going into more detail than a run-on post would normally allow.”
PCON Situation
Just an update here: a few days ago, Dranik’s area got hit with some bad storms, though there were no tornadoes. In my area, a few hours south, we got some heavy rain and lightning, but little else. But, it did knock out Dranik’s power. Well, when the power company was doing their thing to get power back up (which they did), they managed to interrupt the internet service. Of course, with a few more thunderstorms rolling through the area, Dranik’s ISP hasn’t been able to repair things as quickly as normal (would you want to be playing with electrical wires with lightning in the air?). And now Dranik has some family visiting, so it might be Sunday evening before he returns from his unintentional LoA.
Thank God for cell phones, though. That’s how I know all this.

Fictional Update
Currently, the clan is exploring the MC80 Renegade, found derelict upon the clan’s return home from Prakith. However, the exploration of the vessel has led to some startling and threatening discoveries. The 7 Dark Jedi who were sealed in the Crystal of Tears, and who attempted to destroy Tarentum before, have returned. They have rallied the angry souls of the Renegade to their cause. The crew of the Renegade is particularly hateful of Oberst, who once served on the vessel. They hate us for our association with Oberst. As for the Crystal of Tears spirits, Tarentum helped Trev seal them in there. So, they hate us for that.
Anshar has had his spirit ripped from his body, leaving Dranik as the newly appointed Proconsul in charge. However, Anshar’s spirit has encountered a young looking girl named Talitha, and there’s plenty uncertain about her. She is alive, but the spirits of the ship seem to ignore her, at least for now.
Short and sweet this week. The competition is the big thing. Go forth and participate. Don’t forget the two new events in this e-mail.
~Anshar
