CLAN NAGA SADOW CONSUL REPORT

Greetings Naga Sadowers,

Been a while since I’ve done one of these, but never fear, I’m still around and doing my best to improve our cherished Clan.

1.Clan Activity Policy

With the authority granted to the Clan and its subordinate Houses to set policies and procedures regarding membership and activity within said Clan and Houses, Clan Naga Sadow has set forth the following policies regarding minimum activities required of its membership to remain in good standing within the Clan.

Every member of Clan Naga Sadow must complete one acceptable minimum activity in every calendar month. The Clan Leadership reserves the right to define 'acceptable minimum activity', as well as to increase membership requirements during such times as the Consul may deem appropriate (such as mandating participation in a major event, or requiring a higher quota of activity from its members in events such as Great Jedi Wars).

After much consideration of the matter, the Clan Leadership has decided that it is not unreasonable for a member who desires to retain his or her membership in Clan Naga Sadow and the Dark Jedi Brotherhood to participate in a single activity in a thirty day period, when membership in said organizations is based around participating in Star Wars activities in the that fictional universe.

Everyone should read this new policy carefully to understand what is expected of them as a member of Clan Naga Sadow.

This policy will really not affect the large portion of this Clan, it really only asks a member of Naga Sadow to do far less than quite a few already do. My hope is for this new policy to help with communication between the Clan Summit, House Summits, and the average member. From now on the House Summits will be required to send in monthly activity reports on the members of their House, thus recording every activity of each member. Through this process, every individual of Clan Naga Sadow will report their activities to their House Summits, keeping everyone informed and opening up a line of communication. With this communication will come a better knowledge of each individuals activity level, thus making sure no one is overlooked for medals or promotions they have earned.

This policy also will help keep our Clan roster up to date with only active members from month to month, instead of the random AWOL check system we have been running.

Some of you will have questions and comments on this policy and I welcome you to contact me with them so we can discuss them.

2.Simus Institute

The Simus Institute is a private academic institution run by the Viceroy of the Dlarit Corporation. Here gifted young men and women are selected to be trained as the next generation of directors and representatives for the corporation; or at least this is the cover story. Its true purpose is to train gifted young Dark Jedi in the ideology of being a Disciple of Sadow and the belief of the Clan, being the true heirs of the Sith Empire.

After numerous discussions among the Clan Conclave of developing a Clan Training Program, the Simus Institute has been expanded on. No longer just for fictional use, the Institute will be the main source of training in Clan Naga Sadow.

However, before we can move forward, we need various Professors in the following fields:

http://nagasadow.org/times/

I would like to thank and commend all those whom contributed to this month’s issue. And a big special thanks to Editor Alaric, his time and effort made the return of the Times possible.

Work on the next issue will begin soon, if you would like to contribute, send your ideas to myself and Editor Alaric. The more participation the better, so get those ideas in.

 1. Naga Sadow Productions

Its movie time in Clan Naga Sadow, but Ashura and Joseem need some help.

Here is an idea of what they need:

Director: In charge of final look and design, as well as a good editor.

Producer: In charge of getting all the assets together that the Director needs to make a film.

Lighting: This is a specialized person who knows how to light animated scenes.

Sound: Someone who knows their way around Adobe Audition (Cool Edit Pro).

Music: If going cheap, Soundtracks of the movies can be used. If not, someone who REALLY knows Cubase.

Effects: An Adobe After Effects guru is needed here.

Production/Storyboard/texture artists: Responsible for having a 24 hour turn-around for art assets.

Modeler: Needed in order to make any 3D models that cannot be readily bought or downloaded. 48 hour turn-around is needed.

3D Artists: These folks should all use the same 3D program (i.e. Poser, 3D Studio MAX, Vue (Studio Pro, Infinite, or xStreme), Lightwave, Carrara, etc.). A production line would need to be established, as well as file mormats, naming conventions, etc.

If you are interested contact Ashura and Joseem.

5.Conclusion

As you can see, lots of stuff going on in CNS, not too mention the numerous competitions if you have the time. The end of the year is upon us and things have slowed down as expected, but a new year is about to begin and I can’t think of any way better than with a Great Jedi War.
