Site and Mailing List Update

At this point, I am no longer getting the bacta tank image on the DB site. However, I am still getting an error message when I try to load the site. So, it isn't up quite yet. But, they did get a backup of the site, and they're working on getting everything back up.

Also, due to some discussions drifting into the annoyance/insulting realm, despite various requests that it stop, I've had all clan mailing lists changed to moderator only posting access. This isn't the first time I've done this, but it has been awhile since the last time. Until recently, we hadn't had any trouble with this issue.

Cross Club Recruiting

I just received a note that the ID (Imperial Directorate) has been actively trying to recruit our members from the various DB affiliated IRC channels. Sarin has asked that we don't allow them to do this. Channel ops should give a warning along with the request; if they persist, follow a standard disciplinary course of action.

Just for the record, we don't have anything against the ID as a club, or even most of the members.

Clan Competitions

With the GJW still being set for March 1st, we do have some stuff for you guys to do. The houses all should have small competitions running, and I do have the GJW prep crossword. I've received a few submissions so far, though I hope to see some more.

Remember, if you can't actually put the answers in the boxes, I'll accept answers like trivia. The big difference is that you get everything right; in other words, it still has to complete the puzzle. If you need to puzzle and clues again, let me know. You have until this Friday to get your submissions in. Oh, and don't copy anyone on your submission, unless you wish to give them the answers.

Final Words

With the site down, there's not much going on right now, at least beyond the clan. We'll try to keep you updated with information as things happen.

Something you may want to think about, especially for the writers (and anyone planning to take part in the GJW run-on) is what has your character been doing as we draw closer to the next GJW. I'm talking about things beyond what the clan has done.
