My friends,

Wow. Just...wow. We’ve made DB history, by pipping Taldryan to the post in the closest GJW I can remember. But the fact still remains: WE WON! Thanks so much to everyone that participated and helped us snatch first place – without any one of you, we wouldn’t have won. Most of the medals and promos have been handed out with just a few of the big ones taking a little more work than we anticipated, however they should be done this week. Where do we go from here? Well, You’re going to be seeing some changes in the clan – big ones. The results of the AWOL check may have us restructuring our battleteams slightly. We’ll also be entering into a trial scheme of a new structure of the clan, called the Shadesworn Training Scheme. The document will be attached with this email. I encourage you all to read this, as it’ll affect every single one of you. Right, as for PCON: Muz, Jedgar and I are currently looking over the applications and will have an answer for you guys later this week. Oh, and back to the GJW for a second: for coming 1st place, we have a special Arconan-saber, even more special Shadesworn Robes, and we also got some recent fleet additions. The summit and I have played around with the numbers, and we came up with the following new ships (bought from Warmart©):

Nebula-class Star Destroyer Invicta (we had to give it that name =P)

2 x TIE Avenger Squadrons

1 x Skipray Blastboat Squadron

2 Starwind Pleasure Yachts

Majestic-class Heavy Cruiser.

Okay, we got a good haul here. To accommodate the new ships, there’ll be some changes to the DDF and the AEF. Firstly, the MJHC Last Light will be transferred over to the DDF along with our new Majestic to act as a home guard. Secondly, the Invicta will become the new flagship of the AEF. We’ve only named the NSD so far, so if you guys have any ideas for names for the Starwinds, squadrons or the Majestic, mail me and Strat and we’ll review them.

Comps:

The Quaestors and Aediles have been releasing some House-level stuff for you guys in the last few days, and I’ve just finished up with the fiction competition to keep you guys ticking over, however the summit and I agreed that we all needed a bit of a breather after that titanic GJW effort. We won’t, however, be resting on our laurels. We will be stepping up the activity over the summer to start preparing for the next GJW.

Tasks:

Whew, where to start. I’ve been doling out medals and promotions left right and centre to the members that participated in the war (and still am), holding PCON applications, running my own AWOL Purge/Shadow Oath before Kaek’s main AWOL Check, going over any kinks in the Shadesworn training scheme, working out the new fleet with the Summit, and also working with JH Celahir to produce a decent Ground Forces section to the wiki. We’ve got pictures and descriptions, and it just needs to be whacked up. Speaking of, if any of you feel like earning some shinies, please mail me saying you wanna help out with the Wiki stuff, as we’ll need to update a fair bit of the Arconan wiki to incorporate the new ships etc.

I’ve got three exams this week, as well as a load of essay deadlines due on the 5th of June, so you may see a little dip in my activity over the next week or two, but I should pick up after that.
