Consul Report

Wheaton’s Law states the following: Don’t be a dick. – Wil Wheaton

Unknown Space**

The silken kimono swished across the grimy streets of Refuge as Manji strode nonchalantly through them, his entire demeanour infused with bratty arrogance, a carefully-constructed mask to fool the perceptions of anyone watching him. Tsainetomo and Taigikori strode beside him in the armour of the Nihilgenia, heavily-armoured bodyguards to the second son of the wealthy Keibatsu family on this potential trade visit.

Leaning towards a stall bedecked with glisteningly unappetising foodstuffs, Manji draped a silken sleeve across his nose and mouth and backed away with a moan of disgust, his gaze swinging round to the envoy who had been sent to guide them through the winding corridors of this huge conglomeration of spaceships.

“You may tell your master, Morax, that I am very unhappy with his hospitality. I was under the impression that I would be greeted by three Twi’lek dancers and an abundance of spice!”

Morax snarled internally, sick of having to indulge this pampered prince. Nevertheless, he was able to force a smile as Manji moved off again.

“Of course... my lord. They shall be waiting for you in your quarters.”

Manji’s curt nod said nothing, but unbeknownst to Morax the three Dark Jedi were carrying out their own conversation on a mental level.

“Cousin, we need some way to get rid of this buffoon without him getting suspicious. Any plans?”

Tsainetomo grinned behind the visor of his helmet, fists clenching.

“One or two, cousin... leave this to me.”_

As Taigikori spilled the beans in his Proconsul report, you’ll all be aware of the various leadership shuffles that have just taken place in the Clan. Therefore, I’ll let the official documentation do the talking:

We look forward to great things from all our new leaders!

In other news, there are so many competitions on right now you can’t swing a lightsaber without hitting at least three. Check your House Summit reports for all the latest comps, and don’t forget that a large chunk of the Clan is currently having a nice holiday on the space station Refuge for Malisane’s Underworld run-on. You can find that here, so get stuck in with the posting! There are bad, drug-dealing people to kill and maim, which is always fun. It’s part of getting people nicely in shape for the Rite of Supremacy that’ll hit in January; more on that later.

Still some good plans on the list, and I’m sure more will be added as our new leaders get used to their office chairs.

•With Bob’s appointment as Clan Rollmaster, we expect the redevelopment of the Black Guard to go forward with even greater pace- when the old drunk puts his mind to something, he comes out with seriously good results, so look forward to that!

•The redesign of the CNS Website continues unabated, with various members of the Clan getting involved in writing content for it; we’re going to be looking at a pretty large amount of CNS-only content here, fictional stuff that won’t be on the Wiki and will only be available for CNS members to read. Needless to say, I’m pretty excited about the possibilities!

•Taig should be working on getting the gamers of our Clan up to scratch with some Jedi Outcast training sessions in the not-too-distant future; the man’s a demon with JO, so he’ll be putting you all through your paces to make sure you’re in good shape.

Now, for those of you who aren’t aware of what a Rite of Supremacy is- it’s a big, Brotherhood-wide competition where each of the different Clans competes with the others in a number of events; story-writing, graphics, gaming and other stuff, there’s something for everyone to get involved in and it’s a place for everyone to show off their skills. The victorious Clans get cool stuff to make them more awesome, and the victorious members are rewarded with a slew of medals, but above all that it’s just a great chance to have fun in the spirit of competition. I mean, who doesn’t like kicking arse and taking names? When you see your name at the top of the scoreboard for an event it gives you a great feeling of satisfaction, which is something that everyone should do their best to share in.

So, for those of you who aren’t so active right now, this is a call to arms- show the rest of the Brotherhood just how far you can stamp your foot up their censored. And for the younger members, this is a chance to really make your mark on the Brotherhood- a chance to make people across the DB sit up and think “Huh, this [Your Name Here] is pretty damn good!” We’ll be making sure that you all know what’s going on with the Rite of Supremacy as more information is released, but for now I want everyone to get themselves in a nice, fiery mood over Christmas and to be ready to do some absolute burnination in the name of Sadow!

I really should stop writing this report and go and take care of the things I need to take care of today... namely, picking up a new guitar (a very, very, very sexy Gibson Explorer that I am salivating over this very second), sorting out a new phone (since I left my current one in Germany this weekend, well done Manji), getting some lunch in town and then taking out a whole host of books so that I can do some reading for my seminars this week. Fun! On the plus side, well... new guitar! I will, from now on, be playing it non-stop whenever I’m talking to anybody (in the style of Skwisgaar Skwigelf) so you have been warned... :P

Thanks for reading this far- until next time!
