I hope that this email finds you well and ready for some great opportunities within our house. I'm not one to drone on and on in my introductions, but if I did... Anyway, on to the report, which includes the following:

I. New Rollmaster Selected
Congratulations go out to Egregious, who has been named the new Rollmaster for House Tarentum. Egregious has a lot of work ahead of him, and I'm waiting on Korras to make the change on the roster. But, Egregious' duties do begin today!
II. Competitions
The house currently has three competitions running for you to participate in, with crescents up for grabs (as well as adding to a list for a merit award):

This run-on details our investigation into the Fortress of De’hnaalia, which is located on Yridia IV, one of Tarentum's planets. I promise that things have only just begun...
A Funny Thing Happened on the way to Issa (Fiction) Before you arrived at the fortress to help with the investigation, you first had to get to Yridia IV, which means coming through the main starport in Issa, the commercial center for the planet. Write a short story, at least 1 page in MS Word (or similar program) detailing your adventures, or mis-adventures as they may be, either en route or upon arriving at the starport. This can be funny or serious. Submissions should be sent to me ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]) and the Tarentum activity tracker ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]). You have until February 15th to submit.
Cave Drawings (Graphics/Pictures) To tie in with the run-on: as the house explores the Fortress of De'hnaalia, you begin to notice strange markings on the walls. What do you see? Submit a graphic image of what you see. The image must be original, so don't just pull something from the internet and claim it as yours. If you do edit an existing image, please let me know. III. New Arrivals I would like to publicly welcome the following members that have joined Tarentum since my last report:
IV. Awards and Promotions The following members received some nice shiny medals for their activity (except Welshman- they ran out of new clusters of fire and had to give him some old dingy ones ;P)
V. House Notes Over the next couple of days, I will be going through everyone's dossier and making certain that the proper promotions, medals, etc. have been awarded. Now, this will be based upon what I see on your dossier (length of time in position, medals earned for activity, SA courses, etc). However, if you believe that you are missing something (late medals, late promotion), please let me know and provide some type of documentation. For example, journeymen should consult the promotion requirements (http://wiki.darkjedibrotherhood.com/view/Promotion_Requirements) before asking for a promotion.
As I said in my last email to the house, we are in a somewhat troubling condition. We need to get activity up; we have several TOR players, but we have to show the Grand Master and others that we are doing more than just that. That is why we have "Return to the Shadows" going on. I know Egregious has competition ideas as well. Likewise, if you would like to run a competition, please contact the House Summit with your idea. We'll make sure it is doable and then let you run it. We'll submit the medals for the winners.
If you need anything, just let me know. If I can't get to the computer, I can at least get my email on my Torch and reply that way.
