Aedile Report

Good Day Everyone,

First off, I wanted to apologize for not getting this out sooner, but my stepson and his friend managed to seriously screw my computer up and I was fighting with that for a few days in between shifts at work. Ultimately, thanks go to Dranik for sending me a program that I have used before, but no longer had. That program cleared the problem right up and everything has been smooth sailing since. That, and I've completed locked my computer. I'm the only one allowed to use it, thus forcing my stepson and his friend to hook up the old computer. And that's fine, because it probably won't be long before it stops working, if the past is prologue.

Competitions I hate to say this, but there hasn't been much activity on the current three events that are running. The run-on has the most activity and is actually doing well, though I'd love for more people to get involved. If you need help getting into it, please let me know and I can offer some tips.

The other two events (detailed below) have received 1 submission between the two of them:

First, the fiction event: A Funny Thing Happened on the way to Issa Before you arrived at the fortress to help with the investigation, you first had to get to Yridia IV, which means coming through the main starport in Issa, the commercial center for the planet. Write a short story, at least 1 page in MS Word (or similar program) detailing your adventures, or mis-adventures as they may be, either en route or upon arriving at the starport. This can be funny or serious. Submissions should be sent to me ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]) and the Tarentum activity tracker ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]).

Next, a graphics event: Cave Drawings To tie in with the run-on: as the house explores the Fortress of De'hnaalia, you begin to notice strange markings on the walls. What do you see? Submit a graphic image of what you see. The image must be original, so don't just pull something from the internet and claim it as yours. If you do edit an existing image, please let me know. Again, all submissions should be emailed to [Log in to view e-mail addresses] and [Log in to view e-mail addresses]

Both events will remain open for a little while longer so I can get some submissions. This is easy participation! Easy medals at this point, too.

Unfortunately, there is not many medals to report on since my last report. This is troubling, because I usually have at least some Clusters of Fire to report on. Same goes for promotions, though I will say here that I am going through the journeymen and finding out how far they are from their next promotion. This process would probably be completed by now, save for the aforementioned computer problems.

Final Words Everyone, I need and want your help. I'm trying to save Tarentum from the fate of other houses- that is, being closed. Many of us have a lot of time and energy invested into Tarentum, but in the end, it is about the members of the house at that time. What activities can I sponsor for you? Do you have ideas for things the house could/should do to help spur activity? I know many of you play TOR, but there is so much more beyond that.

I don't want to see Tarentum fall. And we are seeing some positive signs, but not from enough people right now. Get active, get involved! The Brotherhood is worth nothing if you're not an active member. So, please help me- help Tarentum!

Be back in touch soon, hopefully with a lot more things to say!
