VOICE Report 6.10.12

Voice of the Broterhood Report July 10, 2012 Anubis stepped down a couple weeks ago after alerting me to some of his IRL problems. After a short period of consideration I offered the position of Praetor to Mirado who has served as my Magistrate for close to six months. Mirado will be taking over the duties of primary competition conduit and grader within my office. Similarly, many of the competitions from May that required submissions to the [Log in to view e-mail addresses] account have not yet been graded (specifically the Imprisonment submissions). Anbu had the access to this account and my lazy-butt has forgotten where I wrote it all down. If you had an Imprisonment submission awaiting grading please resend that directly to me at [Log in to view e-mail addresses] and to Mirado at [Log in to view e-mail addresses] by Friday, July 13th and we will have it graded and awarded by that Sunday. A little more than a week ago the Exile Run-On started with the entrants from nearly all houses and clans. There were some mix-ups at the start, but as far as I know aside from a grammatical error in the opening post (that will remain unchanged for Oberst), it has all been smoothed out. This is a closed run-on, so while I encourage everyone to pop on over to the forums and read it, I would ask that you refrain from posting unless you were invited.

I’m glad to say that the Ambitions Run-On was famously popular and having gone through and read most of the threads I have to say that I’m immensely impressed and greatly appreciative. Crescents have been awarded to the winning teams and Clusters of Ice went out last month. Obviously we can’t offer large scale Run-Ons every month but it was a great pleasure to participate and to see so many jump on board as well! Your competitions for this portion of the month are: [VOICE] Tripping the Rim 3rd lvl Crescents While on a trip to a well known Inner-Rim planet, you encounter an old acquaintance. The meeting turns out to be more than just coincidence however and you're sucked into a problem that seems over your head. In order to make it out alive, you'll have to end the troubles, deal with issues from your past, an make it off world in one piece (hopefully). Submissions must be no shorter than 2500 words

Please submit all entries to me at [Log in to view e-mail addresses] and Mirado at [Log in to view e-mail addresses]. Remember to CC your summit as well.

[VOICE] Showcase Your Power 2nd lvl Crescents Dark Jedi undergo much training. Much of it is mundane and repetitive but the sum of these actions, done again and again and again is that the individual develops the ability to harness their own incredible power. Write a fiction, no shorter than 1500 words, demonstrating a moment in which your character displayed their own incredible power as a result of their training.

Send all entries to me at [Log in to view e-mail addresses], Mirado at [Log in to view e-mail addresses]. Please CC your summits as well.

As a reminder, I am focusing my efforts on driving Character Development. Keep this in mind in your submissions. Entries that display a growth in your character (whether inter-personally, emotionally, mentally, physically, or spiritually) will score higher than those entries that do not. This is the same with the ROs that I will be judging.

Also remember that when you submit an entry to me, or any other leader for that matter, that there are certain things you must do. Remember to clearly state the name of the competition in the title of the entry. Please include your name in the document and in the document name (if not just your pin in the file name). Remember to CC all your relevant leaders. These are all all measures that will ensure your entry is not discarded by the grader or lost.
