Revised Rites of Combat

Revised Rites of Combat

So after lengthy discussions with the Grand Master, his Deputy, the Justicar, and various knowledgeable members, we have finally released a revised version of the Rites of Combat. The old Rites needed some updating, and the entire thing needed some formatting to be more easily accessible, so we decided a complete revision was the way to go. While many of the rules and regulations have remained the same, some things have changed - notably the addition of rules regarding forfeiting matches and information detailing actual punishments for violating the RoCs.

I would strongly suggest every member that participates in Brotherhood gaming take a look at the Rites - if not the whole thing then at least General Gaming Conduct and the platforms you own/play. Hopefully this will clear up some misconceptions about the gaming rules and provide a much more enjoyable atmosphere for everyone.

If you have questions about the Rites, or things you believe need to be changed, added, or removed feel free to email me sh4dwhr[at]gmail[dot]com and I'll discuss it with you and possibly the GM/DGM if necessary. If you have problems following or understanding the Rites you can also email me and I'll attempt to talk you through them. If you come across member(s) who you believe are violating rules, email me or message one of the operators in #dbgaming.

Update:
A member talked with me today about adding some clarification to the match limits, which prompted me to add a rule for team matches. Because changes will be harder to spot now that the document has been re-written, any further updates will be logged on the RoCs Discussion page. The updates will be clearly marked and be accompanied by a timestamp so everyone knows when the changes came into effect. Remember if you think anything should be changed to please let me know.
