Welcome to another addition of the Clan Tarentum Report. And three cheers for our House summits, I actually received all the reports this time. ;) This week has run well, except for the minor detail that I've received very little for Chronicles of the Mist. A little warning. . .
Events II, III, V, are ALL due in to the appropriate people within five days. Final deadline December 15, 2001 11:59pm EST.
Event IV is due December 22, though if there is going to be a problem with that date due to holidays and whatnot, contact me before then and tell me so. If you just tell me after the fact there is not much I can do about it.
As far as where the Houses stand at the moment, Tridens has had a few people send me things for Event III, and Gladius and Cestus - I believe I only have one from each house. Get to work - and save yourselves and try not to do every event at the very last moment. ;)
In other news.. congratulations to Dark Jedi Knight Telona of Gladius for her third place finish in the November monthly topic. Well done, and I hope next time around we'll see more entries from Tarentum. And, as pointed out by one of our own Sith, Protector Koyi Komad, the monthly topic is not restricted to Krath, any order may participate should they choose to. :)
And as the Quaestor of Cestus has mentioned in his report, I'd just to like to emphasize here that Obelisk Battlemaster Zsinj is open for training. So don't hesitate to get all the help you need in that area from him. We want to do all we can to help our members succeed and have fun.

New pilots
PRT Koyi Komad returns to the House Tridens ranks and assumes her former
position as FL in Sub-Zero! Or at least as soon as the database updates and
I can make the necessary changes on the roster. :P
Medals Awarded
PRT Koyi Komad was awarded a Dark Cross x2 for her successful 1st place
finishing in Events 2 and 3 of the November Sub-Zero Competition!

Rogue
DJK Var Zoraans orders have finally come through and he has transferred out
of House Tridens and gone Rogue. We wish Var well and a speedy return to our
ranks!
HammerHead Squadron
PRT Murkrow Defender Reporting for Hammerhead battleteam for the week of
12/03/01:
*After a long week, MD sits down for some much needed rest. Just as he does
it Face runs by with 20 monkeys running behind him armed with water guns.
Wondering what is going on MD chases after them with his EEC. When MD gets
to his monkeys he asks what is going on but in mid sentence he is pulled
down just before a blast of water hits the wall behind him. After a long
Stand of MD finally gets the water gun away from Face and lets Face go. MD
looks to see what was in the water gun to find... EWOK URINE! * "Get back
here Face! You will pay! That piss got on my boots!"- The moral of the story
is: there is no moral; it's just a bunch of stuff that happened. :P
News:

activity points! So there are 2 for you to fly as much as you can:) Also if
you can make battles or missions, contact me so we can work on event 4:)
Every one but NOV Kar Ter has reported in for the rogue check so please
report in ASAP Kar.

Merit Marks.
The new merit system is now in place the details are:
Points are awarded for all types of activity, such as flying, graphics,
mission design and fiction:
·All pilot files submitted by a pilot will receive a point for each mission
completed in the battle. So if you complete a 6-mission battle, then you
will receive 6 merit points.
·For competitions there will be a set amount of points given to each pilot
that participates, along with the points for the number of completed
missions, entries, etc. for that competition.
Medals aware awarded after a set number of points has been amassed:
1.Dark Cross (DC) - 60 Merit points
2.War Cross (WC) - 150 Merit points
3.Steel Cross (SC) - 300 Merit points
I have put the merit marks in your activity reports, please contact me if
you think they are wrong, theses merit marks are calculated from when i took
command of Sub-Zero.

Event IV: Battleteam members will take the below excerpt from
Tarentum's history and build a TIE, XvT, or XWA mission revolving around
that. If the battleteam chooses, they may build an entire battle. Keep in
mind this should be a cooperative effort within your Squadron.

SBM Shadow had had enough of the in-house fighting. He was a member of the
Order of the Sith, he was born to space, as were all the members of
Hammerhead who had followed him. Thus taking the House's Victory Class Star
Destroyer "Corsair" and all that would follow him, he set out to find a new
Home for House Gladius.
As they were preparing to leave the Yridia system, Aedile Silver Fox
informed Shadow that a small group of pirates were attacking an incoming
freighter. As Hammerhead Squadron was dispatched to
take care of the pirates a memory surfaced from years earlier of a large
band of pirates that had plagued the Yridia system for years. Tarentum had
tried for a long time to rid the system of the pirates, but they always
disappeared into the Itaana asteroid belt on the edge of the Yridia system.
Then Hammerhead was taken over by the legendary Dark Jedi, Dark Adept Rene
"Pappy" Le'Gar. On one sortie against the pirates Pappy used his eminence
dark side powers to allow him to follow one of the escaping pirates,
undetected, back to their base in the Itaana asteroid belt. Pappy later led
Hammerhead Squadron and the House Obelisk Brigade back to the pirate
hideout, it was a large asteroid, hidden in the middle of the belt.
The asteroid was well defended, but the forces of Tarentum prevailed. Most
of the pirates died, and those that were not killed, were taken for
questioning by the Dark Jedi, a destiny by some considered worse than death.
Tarentum had been lucky, that asteroid had been equipped with a very
powerful planetary shield and an ancient cloaking device. Both had been
inoperable at the time, parts were so scarce for these antiques, they were
always breaking down according to the pirates.

Announcements Headmaster DA Mejas Doto
At long last a really positive set of announcements from the SA office...
1) No more "Site should be done next week by Mr.X", the site is complete, up
and running! My magistrate is busy ASPing the few exams left to go online
and I'll be reviewing and updating the DB CORE exam, if I get a chance this
weekend. I have folio to be in for Uni for assessment so I'll be busy with
that, but I'm sure I can take a few hours over the weekend to do it.
2) Grail has given me some really positive feedback on a few ideas, and
furthermore, DJM Shaitan` is still working away on a new 3D image of the SA.
His graphics are unreal and this should be sent my way by end of the
month/start of January. Although relatively unimportant info here, these
additions will greatly improve the site and its attachments...stay tuned for
news.
3) EMS Maverick has spoken with the AoC and everyone has been instructed to
create a web page to "advertise and sell" their Clan to SA students. These
guys don't know what each Clan is like and hopefully the detail contained in
these Clan "brochures" will help attract (and maybe even repel!) new
graduate members. CSP's is already on line:

4) I have received a mediocre response from people wishing to mark
examinations. If you are DJK or below, please include a reference from a
member of your Clan Staff (CON,PCON,QUA,AED), also an indication into which
type of course you'd prefer to mark would also help.
5) The SA currently stands at 144 graduates!
6) I realize there has been some commotion about the new SA system, however
if you HAVE graduated as an ACO you will NOT be automatically promoted to
PRT. You should be active enough to deserve promotion within a short enough
space of time. As for Order/General Studies the rules are that no one under
PRT can sit these exams, however if you have the SA:CORE on your dossier an
exception will be made until this transitional phase is over.
7) Finally, Grand Admiral Ronin has been informed of the site and replied
with the following comments: Looks great to me !
Multiplayer Competition OBM Sharad Hett
The new multiplayer competition, which will take place on Saturdays at 2-4
PM EST, will start December 15 in the IRC channel #naga_sadow. Supported
platforms are XvT, XWA, JK, and SW:GB. Therefore, hone your skills and be
ready for it when it starts next Saturday.
House News
House Tridens Rogue Check
All House Tridens members currently residing in a Battle Team have until
12/12/01 to contact their respective CMDRs. The CMDRs will be submitting a
report to the QUA and AED on 12/13/01 listing those that did and did not
respond. Those that did not respond will immediately be removed from their
team and placed in limbo on the House Roster. After two weeks if they still
have failed to report in or show any activity they will be declared Rogue
and removed from House Tridens completely! I am a tolerant House Leader, but
we have little time or patience for those that refuse to be a part of this
glorious House and Clan!

The HH vs. SZ Competition has finally come to an end. I will be processing
the medal requests just as soon as the CMDRs inform me of what it was they
apparently had promised the winners! :P

show of support from House Tridens. I expect to see more involvement this

Merit Points
Remember Tridens, you can earn points for activity, participation in
competitions and events, as well as for promotions! So lets get busy and see
who will have the gloating rights for having the most points and subsequent
awards!! Here is how the points for medals breaks down:
DC - 60 Merit pts
WC - 150 Merit pts
SC - 300 Merit pts
So lets get to those fighters and computer consoles and get active.
Remember, activity isnt only flying, it is also participating through
fiction, graphics, mission design, etc.!
House Tridens Message Board Run-on Storyline
AED Nightflyer was kind enough to launch a Run-on story on the Tridens
Message Board. I myself followed after and added to the slowly developing
storyline. I want to encourage everyone to take some time during his or her
busy week to see about adding something to this storyline and lets see how
it develops. Try to keep it somewhat realistic people. In other words, dont
have your character doing something that they obviously do not have the
ability to do. Have fun with it, but stay in character. ;)
Pilot Files
A reminder, especially to your newer Sith brethren. All pilot files for any
Competition/Event/Activity must be sent to your CMDR/AED/QUA, and if a Clan
Comp to the Con/Procon as well.
Shadow Academy
The Shadow Academy is now up and fully operational. There are a number of
new General Study Courses that are about to be implemented, which is good
news for our ACO and PRT Brethren that are looking for opportunities for
advancement that dont all evolve around flying. :P There are also Order
Related Courses and items as well. The newly constructed SA site can be

everyone take some time and visit it. I am most impressed with the layout,
and can see where a lot of use will be made of this new academy.

Ok, which address you want? The somber, totally IC one, or the Sithie is
nutz one? Well, let's go for the more somber, serious one. Ok, here goes...
Greetings Gladius. I am honored to have been named as QUA of our proud
House, and I appreciate all of your support and good words in this matter. I
only ask the Dark Side be with me as I undergo this endeavor. I also ask the
support of our entire House, as I can accomplish nothing without your
strength at my back.
Yes, we have lost to of our brothers, Kryndath, as well as Kidouses previous
to him, but we have strength in those such as our former QUAs Kartena and
Kodiak Tonaloc, as well as Pontifex Voranyen. With such powerful and
experienced leaders to walk with us, there are no tasks we cannot
accomplish, nothing in which we will fail to succeed.
Alright, time for the Sithie is nutz stuff now. Gladius, we need activity! I
always include myself in everything, so please don't feel I'm singling
anyone out. I myself have been less than exemplary in the past, but I will
endeavor to do what I ask of all of you, and that is to prove that Gladius
is supreme! Heh. We rock, and we know it, let's show everyone else we're the
best now too!

The other bit of business is that even though the QUA position is filled, it
leaves my old position of AED vacant. We need an AED. Any who feel like you
would make a good AED, or would like the position, or even if you feel you
would make a better QUA and want to drive me nuts until I turn it all over
to you, that's cool. Just send an application telling what will make you an
awesome AED to myself and Ciara. I'll give it two weeks, three at the
longest. I really don't want to be without an AED for too long.
