Dark Greetings Tarentum,
This week has seen the end of many competitions, one of which we are anxiously awaiting the results of, another of which earned Cestus the title of Third Obelisk House of the Brotherhood. Congratulations to our Obelisk brothers!
Tarentum has also had several new members join our ranks this week (many of which sped through the rest of their Shadow Academy training in no time) and we're always glad to see new dark faces adding to our strength. I extend my welcome and congratulations to those of you who have recently graduated the academy. Tarentum looks forward to seeing your future growth. >:)
As far as current competitions... we have Spectre of the Past that apparently a few people were confused on the details of. Hopefully this will be resolved when Arania recovers from her illness so she can get out the rest of the details, please be patient with this and don't worry, deadlines will obviously be extended. Prelude to Andevia is nearing an end, so everyone try and get their part in on that run-on which is posted on the Tridens portion of the Tarentum message board.
Also, don't forget about Proconsul Proton's competition:

Quite a good week to report.
This week saw DJK Darkov place second in the Feel the Force competition and receive himself a War Cross an outstanding individual effort by DJK Darkov.
The Aediles effort also was the major contributing factor to us getting third in the House competition. As I write this we are now ranked the "3rd Obelisk House of the Brotherhood"
Congratulations to all of you who took part.
Secondly Prelude to Andevia is still running and I can forsee a couple of our members walking away with medals on this competition PRT Gelton Torr is currently at second with a considerable gap behind him on the JK ladder.
GRD Blackhero is currently ranked first on the XvT ladder with a huge point margin.
Excellent work guys get in some killing before it ends.
As you can see the level of activity within Cestus has risen dramatically over the last few months and I have you guys to thank for it, not only in the competitions but in irc and via e-mail, all we need to do now is to not relax but keep the pressure on the other houses.
So the QUA would like to thank you all personally for your hard work and making Cestus shine.
Spectre of the past a the new clan comp should be up and running today for us to go out and get our teeth stuck into, I would like to see as much participation in this event as I have seen over the last couple of months from you guys I myself will also be giving max participation.
Next on my agenda is hopefully you have kept all your submissions for any competitions you have entered since joining Cestus, if you have please send them to me so that they can be archived.(DJK Darkov you might have to send yours in installments as I dont think my ISP could handle it in one go :D)

HOUSE TRIDENS QUAESTOR REPORT #17
Greetings House Tridens,
Well, after the chaos of the past two weeks I am thankful that things are
finally calming down within House Tridens. With the calm also comes much
opportunity for Tridens to continue its efforts to increase activity,
communication, and last but certainly not least Recruiting!! Thats right
folks, the focus for March is going to be Recruiting!! Talk to your buddies
elsewhere in the EH and see if any of them are interested in joining that
have not already joined. Remember, they dont have to just join the Sith or
House Tridens, but can join the Obelisk or Krath Orders as well. Our sister
Houses would welcome any new members that we can scrape up for them. Plus we
d be doing the Dark Brotherhood in general a great service by finding new
members and keep the membership strong and growing!! ;)
With the sudden resignation and transfer of SBL Nightflyer this past week I
was forced to appoint a new AED sooner than expected so that things could
get back to normal and the House operations wouldnt miss a beat. After some
deliberation recently, I decided that SW Torres was ideal for the position.
Torres and I have worked together outside the DB and have had a great
history of working together. And in recent days Torres has clearly proven I
was correct with is eagerness to push forward with our projects and
activities. Therefore I hope everyone will give AED Torres their full
support and cooperation in the future. J
Still a LOT of competitions running out there, as well as within House
Tridens. With all these events running no one should be lacking for some
form of activity at all. Ive noticed recently that there are still a fair
amount of members in the House that have not even earned a single merit
point. These members should be feeling a deep level of shame to allow their
names to be shown each week in a Battle Team Report and not have a single
point to their names. Therefore I expect to start seeing a significant
increase in activity and communication from these members in March.
Remember, the merit points dont just earn you medals, they also allow the
House and Clan Summits to gauge your overall involvement as a member, and so
lets get busy with that activity!!
A minor issue arose this week, and from a member that really doesnt have
any excuse for not knowing how to find information from within the DB
Database. People, as I stated in an earlier email, the links and URLs to
everything you could possibly need as a member of the DB are listed in the
DB Database. On our own House Roster the current URLs for the Realm of
House Tridens, and our Message Board are listed. Id also like to point out
that there is a LOT of useful information posted by the DC members on the DB
News page, so lets make better use of this database in the future. After
all, every Sub-Group in the EH has a working database, so how can anyone not
know how to find useful information in them?
With the announcement that CMDR Dave Darklighter will be stepping down as
CMDR of HammerHead on 3/10/02, the House Summit will begin taking
applications for a new CMDR to fill the position effective 3/11/02.
Therefore, any member that holds the rank of GRD or higher and is interested
in filling the position may apply starting now. Applications will be
accepted until 3/9/02, at which time the House Summit will evaluate the
candidates and make a decision on who will be the new CMDR. Dave, Im sad to
see you stepping down, but I completely support your decision. I believe I
speak on behalf of the entire House when I wish you the best of luck in
pursuing your career path. Study hard and make us all proud here in House
Tridens!! ;)
Well, this has been a VERY long week for me. Believe me when I say that
being an Xbox Field Rep is not always an easy job. Its really tough having
to find time to work when your trying to play games all the time. :P (Just
Kidding!) Actually, now that all the work has been completed this week I am
going to take some much needed rest time this weekend and play the three new
games Xbox sent me today. I think blowing up some goons in Bloodwake will
make for a great start towards a relaxing weekend. ;)

Ø SW Torres has been appointed as the new Aedile of House Tridens!
Ø Llewellyn completed his DB Character Profile and was elevated to the
rank of Protector! Congrats Llewellyn!!
Ø House Competitions still running: Create a History and/or Bio
Contest; Prelude to Andevia Team Run-On; Tridens Monthly Free Mission Comp.
Ø The Prelude to Andevia Run-On is proceeding well. But we still need
a LOT more participation. There are still members in the House who havent
contributed to the storyline at all. Those of you that have your activity
will be rewarded, but I encourage you to seek out your fellow brethren that
havent participated and encourage them to do so soon!
Ø All MP pilots in House Tridens are to report in to their Battle Team
CMDRs ASAP so that we have a clear idea of who is regularly involved with
MP flying and is able to participate in any MP competitions.
Ø CMDR Darklighter recently announced that he would be stepping down
as the HammerHead CMDR on 3/10/02. This is sad to hear, but his reasons are
certainly valid and I am proud to see that he is doing what is necessary for
him to succeed in his RL future. Youll be missed Dave, and I sure hope you
ll be able to return to active duty in House Tridens in the future!

Clan Tarentum Spectre of the Past Competition: (I really wish I understood
the idea behind this better, but lets make the best of it and just
participate. ;P)
Create a History and/or Bio Contest:
Create a History and/or a Bio about your DB persona! This is your chance to
tell everyone more about yourself, and the abilities and attributes of your
species as well. Now you have the opportunity to talk about your history,
life, home planet, etc. without any boundaries or particular questions!
Contest begins 2/23/02 and ends on 3/8/02. More information and details
about this exciting contest can be found at

All entries for the contest are limited to two pages, unless special
permission for a longer submission is request of the QUA in advance. Have
fun! Im looking forward to reading the submissions. ;)
House Tridens Crest Competition:
Is officially over at midnight (EST) tonight. Still only two official
entries, so it looks like my decision will be a very easy one indeed. L
House Tridens Monthly Free Mission Competition:
The February segment is officially over. The results will be compiled this
weekend and the medal requests submitted. As soon as I have all the pilot
files verified I will announce the official winners in each platform. In the
meantime here are the missions for March. All pilot files are to be sent to
the QUA and AED. AED Torres will be handling the actual compiling of results
during the month of March, but I still want to see the pilot files myself
since I keep record of overall activity as well. ;)
-Fly one or more of FREE-TIE #194 (Quest for the Sith Orb), FREE-XvT 40
(Death of a Jedi) and/or FREE-XWA 38 (Blazing Fury!). All are available for
download at http://www.tiecorps.org/battles/battletypes.asp.
The March segment begins now (March 1st). The competition will run for the
entire month until March 31st. The results will probably go out the first
weekend in April. Also, this competition will use laserless scoring in TIE
Fighter, so dont expect that the score you see in the game will be your
final score. Finally, only ONE submission for each platform will be
accepted, so be sure that the pilot file you submit to the House Summit is
your best performance, because duplicate entries will NOT be accepted.
The best pilot in each category wins a Dark Cross. This also counts towards
your monthly activity count; remember, whoever's flown the most missions
and/or MP matches at the end of the month gets a WR.
Prelude to Andevia Competition:
The Prelude to Andevia EH-wide competition is still going on at
http://www.imperialacademy.org/comps/prelude/, so I hope everyone will make
an effort to participate as much as possible. Also, to ensure you receive
credit for any related activities make sure and CC: youre CMDR/AED/QUA with
the submissions as well. All entries to the competition need to include the
full ID Line for whichever subgroup you are representing with the entry.
House Quotes of the Week:
No real notable quotes this week within the Tridens egroup or message
board. Perhaps next week well have more. And no MD, your tyrannical
rantings about monkeys and stuff wasnt enough to be used this week. :P

Well its been made official and the decision is reflected in the Roster. As
of yesterday I was formally appointed AED of House Tridens. Ok short, quick
speech is over. Down to business.

Now there you have it. Please lets finish the Castle Run-On, guys. All we
need a couple more postings and then we can focus on the Andevia. Oh
Hammerhead pilots, as you are assigned to ground operations in the Run-On,
it would be good to use that as a focus for your postings.
With all that done, onto two matters Wil has some concerns on.

flood each other's inboxes with emails that are completely pointless, but it
would be good to see more of us responding to emails such as the reports and
announcements of comps and the like. So a little more please?
