HEADLINE: D E C E P T I O N - CLAN FEUD

The Nighthawk spun around in wild agony, its rear having been ripped open from the shockwaves of the torpedos launched from Sapphire's bombers, the bridge burning from the inside out as the Obelisk troopers stormed the corridors, crushing all who stood in their way. Ash and twisted metal loomed in the vacuum around the ship, charred with the incinerated bodies which once drove them, the spotless silver of the Sadow fighters still swooping around in an escort formation. The familiar dark clad figure drifting motionless in his colourless fighter raised his wrist to key in the activiation code for his comlink,

   "Proconsul to Clan Naga Sadow, we're done here, everyone return to the asteroid," came a sudden stern voice across the clan comm channel, interupting the mission which they all were currently engaged in.  

   "Sir, we're in the middle of the battle," responded the Obeliskian Sergeant of Dark Renegade, a clear sense of curiosity intermixed with fear in his voice.  

   "You heard the order," responded the Proconsul with a touch of aggrovation in his voice.  

An hour later the Clan was once again assembled in the rocky crevase which was its hanger bay, the teams again prepped and ready for their next mission.

   "In the past day we have rendered Arcona's fleet obselete, they will no longer oppose us in our final mission. We were decieved by the Council, there is nothing out here but war...we were sent here to discover who was the greatest Clan, there is nothing here for us to gain. Though I will not stand for this deception, we will prove ourselves, you all have already been prepared for battle, the final mission awaits, and that is the destruction of Tarentum. Their Victory Star Destroyer will be ours, Arcona was a mere demonstration and test, now the true battle is upon us, the Battle of the Dar'Telis system will be ours, we will win this, Tarentum will knee beneath our might," the Proconsul finished, raised his hand in a salute and stepped off towards his TIE. The Clan scrambled for their ships, as a Protector came running down out of the lift, a look of fear on his face...  

   The Proconsul continued towars his TIE, now having turned to see the Protector coming, "Yes Communications Officer?".  

   "Sir, the aste....", a sudden shockwave rippled through the earth beneath their feat, rocks collapsing from above them, "oooid.... is under attack, a Victory-Class Star Destroyer is in orbit."  

   "Understood," responded the consul calmly.  

   "But, arn't we going to change our plans, my lord?"  

   "There is no need, my men will be victorious, the plan is set, the battle is ready, the engagement will be fought," with the sentence finished the Proconsul hopped down from the roof of his TIE and into the cockpit...the final battle for Deception was about to begin...  

News

Well the Feud ends tomorrow, all submissions need to be in by the end of Wednesday, AWOL members will be dealt with by the end of the week. My thanks to all who have helped in the Clan effort, I know we'll be coming away with some high placements, we may not win, but we've done well...and we may just get a ship after all :)

On a notice about myself, I'm having an ISDN connection installed tomorrow, so I may not been about much tomorrow, I also may not be around as much as usual until Saturday, see, my computer is a fair way away from the phone jack, at the moment I've got about a 25m extension running to my computer, the ISDN modem will require a USB line, however I need to go and buy some extensions...and perhaps a signal booster depending on the quality over the distance, so I may be unable to be on IRC as much as usual...Feud results will however be dealt with in a timely fashion, hopefully for the weekend if there are no problems.

News from the Office of the Primus

The Black Guard is about to be restructured, I have ideas already of who those are going to be, as do I have some promotions to award...but they will wait until the end of the Feud :P

But no, I think i'll promote near to all of the existing Guardsmen, you've all done the Clan proud. The Sith are some of the HLK members who still actually work, the Krath are some of our best writers and the Obelsik some of our best and more active fighters, depending on the results of the Feud, your Guard promotions may just carry with them a real promotion too.

Thats all for this week, look out for the results sometime, likely to be published in my report Saturday or something. After which I'm going to be starting work on discovering when the GJW is, and hence wen we can set up a Feud with Alvaak...and hopefully for possessions :)
