CLAN NEWS MISCELLANY
-- Our roster is up to 64 members (+3 since last month).
-- Our clan is well into implementation of the Master/Apprentice system. For instance, Tridens QUA Murkrow has asked me to help one of our Sith brothers in this program, and I gladly accepted.
-- Congratulations to the new Tridens QUA and AED, Murkrow Defender and former Tarentum consul Pel. This is a talented leadership team that should help keep Tridens on the roll it's been seeing over the past several months.
-- I've lost count of all the medal award notifications that have crossed my desk over the past month. Members of all of our houses are to be commended for their accomplishments and activity. There also have been many leadership course completions by clan members. Impressive!
-- Coming soon, if Ciara OKs it (=) ... I'm going to run a Beat the PCON contest. Tarentum members may individually challenge me to a fight on their platform of choice: Sith, single player and-or multiplayer; Krath, all manner of krathie-type activities; Obelisk, maybe some JK1 stuff, what else? There are some obvious problems, so I'm interested in suggestions. As an example, I'm really bad at JK1 because first-person-shooter-type games give me severe motion sickness -- what else might I be able to entertain Obelisk challenges in? I'm equally ill-equipped for some of the Krath expertises like role-playing, so I'm limited there too. Overall, I would hope to give individual members a shot at medals for stomping the PCON. And I'll try my hardest to make it tough for them to accomplish >:) .

...and let me tell all of you about the Master Student Competition 3.
Master Student Competition 3: There can only be one!
All you of you should know of the Master-Student System (http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.org/dbjedi/shadowacademy/sa/msp.htm)
by now...if not, it ain't that said either. The MSC3:"There can only be one" is the ultimate competition for Master-Student teams, giving them the possibility to show their bonds, their activity and their skill as a unit, since only when Master and Student work together they can really have a chance to win. The competition is made up by 7 tasks this time (though these are only Krath events at the moment, all teams, no matter if Krath, Obelisk or Sith, are invited to participate...good chance for some Obbies and Sithies to show that they can beat the other orders on their own territory, right? =P), and as rewards there will either be crescents, or novas (if enough teams sign up).
Almost everything is ready, the only things that are lacking at the moment are the Master-Student Teams...and two additional referees to make any favourism hard/impossible. The referees need a high and good response time and need to be neutral (and have no student). The order is not important, minimum rank is DJK, higher ranking people prefered (as I'm a DJK and ref already =P). A sith and a Obelisk-Ref would be welcome (since I'm Krath...though in the rogues).
I will post something official through CON Cuchulain on db.org, but it would be nice if you could care for your clans to get word of it and participate too, as this will surely drive up participation. If you got doubts about the comp, there have been two successful MSCs before (in Clan Scholae Palatinae). So, it would be good if you could care for your clans to hear of it and join...consider it a good chance to show that your clan has the best Master-Student Team! (maybe you even propose here and there to build additional Master-Student Teams...).
The Deadline for signing up will be the 20th of October. If you got questions you can either e-mail me or use the messageboard of the MSC...though mail will be answered faster =P

With my resignation as Editor of the Dark Voice, Korbane Ashoka has risen to the position. He would like to share this following announcement:
Greeting Dark Brothers and Sisters,
I am Korbane Ashoka now that Shadonyx has such a busy life he has asked I take over as editor of the Dark Voice. It is a very time consuming job but very much worth the effort. This month for Dark Voice #30 I have just finished inputting around 53 Dark Side Scrolls and 4 Dark Crosses for the outstanding submissions. We had an excellent turn out and I am very tired from doing all that reading and inputting of medals but I would LOVE to see more next DV. I just have a few requests and reminders for those submitting.
You do not include this and your submission will go to the DV but you may not get a medal!
Be sure to Included your DB # and IDLine INSIDE of any Stories you are submitting. This just makes it easier for me to track and not mix files and make sure YOU get the right award.
Be sure you ZIP all files and that Images are jpg or gif formats.
Make sure your images are creative and original, I had to delete a few things this month that Still had the www.starwars.com logo at the bottom that some tried to submit, if its not your work don't send it. If you graphically enhance a photo or something that is another story.
Well that is the only real requests I have for now. You may go ahead and begin submitting for Dark Voice #31. I do not have an official release date yet but I will soon. All submission are to be Sent to ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]) with the subject Dark Voice #31.
