Another lovely week in the world of Tarentum, with many new members, and many older members getting some much overdue awards and promotions. =) Oh, and before I continue I just feel compelled to point out this amazing fact -- Cestus is currently the largest house in Tarentum. Good work to all the people there who worked so hard to bring Cestus up so far. :)
Speaking of old and new things -- for those of you who haven't checked our roster lately or haven't noticed, thanks to the efforts of Dark Jedi Knight Camile, we now have a new/old website up for Tarentum, with fast login and updating for news and such. Which means it will, with luck, stay updated on a regular basis. ;) That's the reason it's a new website, it's also old because as you'll notice, it's a very familiar. . .pretty much exactly the same as the older Tarentum site. ;) You can visit that here: http://www24.brinkster.com/nashiro/
The Trials have been activated and put into action in both Tridens and Gladius, though I have not heard of anyone taking them quite yet. The may I'd like to see this work, though get back to me if you have a more efficient idea, is that if a House Summit notices a member they think is worthy of a promotion GRD-SBM, equiv., then they e-mail the Trial Master and inform them, and the TM will, in turn, contact that individual about beginning their trials. However, if someone other than the House Summit would like to recommend someone for the promotion (battleteam leaders, the member's master), they should email the House Summits and the Trial Master, and if they approve, the TM will likewise contact said member and begin the trials. And, of course, especially in the beginning of this, I would like to be CC-ed on most of these mailings.
Master-Apprentice system underway in most houses. Members, watch your leaders House reports for lists of people who have volunteered to take on apprentices, and feel free to contact those people should you wish a master. DJK+ are allowed to be masters, and anyone under that rank can be an apprentice. And should someone who passed DJK still like to remain as an apprentice under someone, I wouldn't see a problem with that, either. I think this will be an excellent learning tool, and help to strengthen the relationship between house members, which is always a good thing. :)
Oh yes, and Clan Feud possessions were recently announced, with Tarentum being awarded a Corvette, that is just waiting to be named. ;) I started a query for names on the Clan Tarentum messageboards, and many interesting names have already been listed there, but if you have an idea go quickly and make your suggestion so we can decide on a name soon and add it to our possessions list on the new site. =)
Also, the Grand Master has recently issued a question as to what Clans would like to have for a 'specialty.' This would be something like, superior piloting skills, scholars, a certain sabre technique, etc. The main purpose would be roleplay, but I think it will certainly add an interesting edge to fiction and such. I'd like to hear everyone's ideas on what you think a fitting specialty for our Clan would be. :)

Yes your QUA is back for the time being and as some of you may of heard I have been having computer troubles my kids will be the death of me.
All things should be sorted now and I have just finished sorting my address book out so I will be mailing you all and be hanging out in the usual places on IRC so you all know where to find me.

I understand that DJK Gelton Torr is still away and JH Talon Zetar is doing a sterling job of acting Aedile and also of running the house in my abscence as well remember JH Talon Zetar carries mine and Gelton Torrs Authority when we are not there.
DJK Gelton Torr will be returning soon.
I will be away again soon I will be on leave from October the 21st until the 20th of December hopefully I will have access to internet depending on the sattelite link I get in Italy but more on that closer to the time so I will only be able to contact you through email but sufficient to say that the members of Cestus will keep things running in my abscence.
A short report this week as I have been out of circulation for a while but I expect my mailbox to be flooded this week and I expect to see everyone on IRC as well.

My, my, my... what interesting little Krathies we have going on in Gladius. Such an interesting response from all of you frikkin' lunatics. They're crazy I tell you! Crazy! Ha! Wickedly insane! Don't ever turn your back on them. They'll steal your pillows. They'll tickle your bunny rabbits until they turn into viscious, man-eating raptors of death! Stop them! We have to kill the bunnies! Ni! Have at you! Have at you, I say! I'll make you all taste death at the hand of my giant souvenier hand! I-- ...oh yeah. I was going to report on the House. That's right. Well, you're lucky! Giant, souveneir hand of death, appease yourself but a few moments while I tell the House how awesome we are! Yes, I said appease yourself. No! That means -NO- killing right now. That's right. Bah! Just... go to your room!
Well, as I'm sure you all know by now, we have a new member. Acolyte Night-Elf Illidian StormRage being our newest member, of course. Again Acolyte, welcome to Gladius. I hope you are taking the welcoming of our House with a grain of salt, so to say. We're really not all that scary. I promise. happens to see Kidouses sneaking up, fangs bared, possibly tempted to take but a few drops from the new member, as well as a few of the older members.. Umm, Kidouses, not right now, hmm? Wouldn't you love to stand over here, in this corner, facing the wall, where it's such a pretty view? Yep, it's granite. Or marble. Have a look and find out for me? Yes, away from the rest of the House. Yep.
Some of you received promotions recently. Knight Camile, who was promoted to the rank of DJK, Lecryo Skelrodran who was promoted to JH, Orin Williamson to JH as well, and Shadowfire, who was promoted to GRD. I'd like to congratulate these individuals on their excellent efforts in their varying situations. I am reviewing the House membership, and will be making promotions, and recommendations, where I see fit. I ask, and encourage you all to remain active, and to help the rest of us continue to make this House as strong as it always is, and to make ourselves that much better. I've worked with almost all of you personally on some level, and I know the talent pool we have in this House. We can be the best when we work together, and when we work in full force. I know nothing can stop us.
The House competition for September is running out. The end of this month is the deadline. Acolyte Night-Elf, since you've just recently joined, you are exempt from this competition, since there's so little time left in the month. But the rest of you, I expect to see great things. You all rock! I can't wait to read all of the stories.
And... hhmmmm. What are you doing out of your room? I told you it was not the time for you to come out. No, I don't care if you are a giant souveneir hand of death, you still cannot disobey my orders! Back! Back to the room, you! What was I saying? Oh yeah... hey. Where are you all going? Well guys here it is(finally) my first report as your non gramatically inclined QUA:P Because of all the resent confusion I haven't had time to make up a stupid intro story like I usually do but don't worry, I won't stop doing them:P
Ok first things first, the house sumit, as you all have noticed, has completly changed this week. I was made QUA, Pel is now AED and with Vortoq's resignation, Domi has taken control of SZ. I am still awaiting word from the peobably new HH CMDR but that should come soon. Just make shure that you guys get all the new information so you know who to send activity reports and pilot files too.
For all those that don't know about this, you can still get battles from the back up battle center at: http://www.drakenet.tk/ So for all of you that are trying to get promoted but couldn't find battles, that is the place to go.
If you want that promotion but don't want to fly, go to the SA. 2, yes 2 new courses were released this week(Sith Core and Leadership) so go take them(If you want a comand job in teh future, those may give you the upper hand)
As you guys know, the house summit(witch was until resently me:P) Would like to open our last battle team. This means we have to fill HH squadron. All we need is a few more members so if even half of you could recruit one person we could do it. So get out there, put on your recruiting hats(mine has monkeys ears:) and talk to any one who is interested in the dark side!
Master/Aprentice pairs, I urge you to get involved in the M/A comp! sign up deadline is Oct.21(if I am wrong, every M/A pair may hit me over the head with an old shoe) All events are writen but knowing this house, we could beat the krath at them if we wanted! COMPS:
Well, As you guys all should know, I am trying to get a GFX comp under way. If any of you don't have the instructions then please contact me. I will tell you as soon as the comp has an official finish date since teh DGM still hasn't gotten back to me on it:(
Run-On comps. As you guys also should know, I am trying to set up our house comps to parallel the house run on. Once I can get the DGM+GM to aprouve my comp, I will lock the run on, have the comp, open the run on and we can go from there. With any luck this will start soon, since all I have to do now is get the DGM's atention.
In other news:
I am trying to get a new house site up. This will include most of what was on the old site plus the new house holocron. If any one is good with web pages and has time to do this(doesn't have to be updated daily or anything) Please contact me so we don't end up with a crapy template site:P
