Announcements from the Office of Consul Zorrixor

A more productive week than recent ones in the way of things, I've made a start on sorting out our Master/Student Program, this'll be done mid next week sometime at the latest, hopefully by the weekend though. This will hopefully give us some structurised way of getting newer members accustomed to the workings of the clan, as well as giving older members something to do - and don't forget, stuff like this will help in DJK+ promotions.

On the Clan image side of things, i've been thinking about the Phare System stuff, though i've not gotten anything solid down on paper yet, as its actually quite an awkward thing to do when it comes down to it. Hopefully will get something drafted this week for the Summit to look at.

Removal of Aedile CrimsonAngel

It saddens me that this week it became necessary for the removal of Crim from Aedile of Primus Goluud, however he has been AWOL for over three weeks now. He will hopefully return, but from a working standpoint his inbox is full and not recieving more mail so he is not able to do his job anymore, so the decision became necessary. I'd like to point out applications are not being accepted currently for the position, Bob has proven he can handle the House without an AED twice before, so we will not be rushing to fill the spot, whether Bob chooses to wait and hope Crim returns or simply decides against having an AED right now is his choice and his alone, if we choose to start taking applications you'll all know about it when the time comes.

Taldryan-Alvaak Feud - I've not heard anything more on this, it looks like we're going be searching for a Krath to sort out some fictional setting for us next I recon, I'm never good for these things myself, so hopefully between the 3 Summits involved we can come up with an interesting setting.

Activity Systems Review - As I mentioned already I've started sorting this out, there won't be many changes, only a more formal system for it - namely the fact that it'll be run properly, not with about 75% of the people in it being AWOL like when it first came in 6 months or so ago.

Results for the Muurian Transport Competition

Yup, I've finally come to a decision, though with the help of Malik and J'Rai to make the final choices for the placements, so thanks to them too. The winners are as follows:

Black Ascendant - 3rd Place - Khobai

This leads us to the fact that our Muurian Transport is hereby named the Keepsake!

I'm going to be mailing the Summit about a Clan Wide AWOL Check later on today, though most are already doing these as a matter of standard procedure currently anyway, which is good. We will be in top condition for the upcoming Feud, so AWOLing is part of this, so everybody make sure to start working your hardest. I allowed those with semi-activity to stay when I first got Consul, namely those that idled on IRC, we're now two months down the line so everybody should be doing things now, so this time the check is likely to be somewhat harsher, we need to be in full fighting condition if we are to win another possession.

Concluding words from the Consul

Thats it for another week, this upcoming week looks set to see a bit of work get done on my side of things, namely for i've got this week, a bit of next, and have had a bit of last off school, so I've got time to do things. The websites getting sorted and we're starting to see a nice influx of new members, so it looks set to actually start seeing the Clan improviing. I know everyone feels down about things, but we can't give up just on the verge of turning things, its not just us, much of the EH is suffering the same thing, so we can't just look worse on ourselves than everywhere else, i'm sure if we keep at it eventually things will settle and activity pick up.
