I apologize firstly for my lack or presence recently, I've had a rather annoying cold lingering for near a week now, hopefully I'll be over the mess soon. Remember you can always catch me on AIM (xciaratearnanx :p ) and less frequently on IRC, but I'm slowly working on solving that issue. Just remember that you can always contact me about anything you feel like, so don't hesitate. =)
Many things going on and coming up in the near future of Tarentum and the Brotherhood. . .most recently both Cestus and Tridens I believe are involved in House vs. House competitions with Galares and Galthain respectively, I believe. Good luck to both houses in those feuds, we know you'll do awesome. =)
With the recent appointment of former KHP Mairin to Deputy Grand Master (congrats to her. :) ), we have also been informed that the GJW for the whole of the Brotherhood is scheduled to begin around mid-January, so that is closer than I know most of us had imagined, which has caused a few squeezes with the other internal competitions, but we'll manage. :)
I have been organizing a larger-scale Clan Competition for Tarentum, and because of all the other competitions running.. I am going to tentatively try and set it for early early January, as I don't know I'll be able to get it done by early December, and later than that will be exams and Christmas holidays. Hopefully we'll have plenty of time to do that in. I have a basic plot and outline down for that competition, but I am still open to suggestions if you would like to include something you'd really like to see I'd be more than glad to do whatever I can.
And. . .because of the Clan Competition being delayed, I am going to try and run a little fun Clan-wide Christmas competition throughout December for those who would enjoy that. Thanks to Rage for giving me several ideas for that. I do need some more help though, it will include writing, graphics, and even the favorite song parodies, but I'd like some input from the Sith and Obelisk on how I could make this include your specialties as well and still be all in the Christmas fun. ;p So, much to look forward to in the way of competitions all the way around. =)
I just finished speaking with Knight Camile, and while he had left Tarentum, he had only recently constructed our website for us and has agreed to still help keep that going. Any outdated information should be corrected shortly. So, many cheers and thanks to Knight. =)

Activity:
With joy I can report that the activity in Cestus is finally noticable on the rise. After weeks of inactivity more and more members are returning to active status. But despite the growing activity there are still members who are still only names on the roster and not active members of Cestus. In Order to filter out these people my sctivity monitoring is still going on. Because of missunderstandings how I meant the activity monitoring, I will explain it once more this time hopefully clearer this time: You as members of Cestus have three posibilites to prevent being kicked out of the House due to inactivity:

2.Showing precence on IRC or taking part in competitions wether house or DB. Me and my staff will log all appearances on IRC or any competion. If you show yourself there you can stay in Cestus

Gelton:- been on IRC daily

Thus far this week, I have managed to Idle on IRC, but have not really had
the time for other then that. Most of the time on IRC, I haven't really been
around anyway.
Rage Maki:another exciting activity report. So what did I do the whole week.
I wrote a story about an Obelisk Technique. I made a banner for the Cestus
banner comp. I played several matches against different people. I even
participated in the DJK comp together with Gelton. Unfortunatley we lost
already in the first round 3:1 against Reza and Daryan. I didn't win a
single match. But I heard that I had Reza down to 30hp. I practiced a lot
wit my master Gelton. I became TET last week in Gladius therefore i have to
organize my time quite a lot. Now I am working on the Temple comp and try to
figure out how to draw such stuff. Iam as usual daily on IRC and on the MB.
Thats it :P
Tygarin Cypher:-played in a weekend tourney in #EHCOC and won 2 medals
-spent an inordinate period of time on IRC
-played more JK2 than is probably healthy.
Eoth:I have been around every day again, on IRC. Participating in Tourney's
(One was the Dark Jedi Duels, which I invented and hosted together with
Sukuth). I helped out other new JK2 players like Cypher and LR with moves
and just training.
I also did a lot of work on the Cestus map I am (still) naking and am happy
too say I will finish it at the end of the month!
But the biggest thing, and also mainly why i have taken up writing AR's
again is that I promoted to Battle team SGT of BoF. So I have to give them
folks an example how and what to do when being involved with the DB :)
And thus I also wrote my first BT report and am currently thinking up a new
competition.

Competitions:
The only competition I will announce here is the House feud between Cestus and Galeres. I can proudly announce that the feud has been approved and starts on wednesday the 20th November and lasts for 21 days. The competitions and rules Warrior, Dagger and me came up with are the following:
Rules - Cestus-Galeres-Feud
There will be 3 ladders for this competition, one in JK1, one in JK2, and
one in Fiction.
JK1 Ladder
The JK1 ladder will be scored as a basic ladder, with the following rules:
a loss.
1 on 1 matches only - No 2v2 or FFA matches will be counted!
Matches will be played to 5 points or 10 points. The 2 participants must
mutually agree on playing to 5 or 10. Note that there will be no time limit
enforced on matches.

challengee will have choice of the map to be played on.
-Games will be reported to all 4 clan summit members by one of the fighters
(Galeres QUA and AED + Cestus QUA + AED) with the email subject line "House

Fiction
This is a rather unusual thing to have in an Obelisk feud we know, but we
chose to add it in order to add another fold into it, and to give Obelisk
the opportunity to do something they don't normally do - write!
The fiction portion will be scored according to the following rules:

members of the two houses, a space battle scene, a general combat between
members of the houses, a story about a single member which pertains to the
battle, etc. Use your imagination and make your writing creative!

We originally wanted to award for 1st place in the fiction department different medals than crescents, but these were denied by the CHAN although symaphetic to our cause. But he added all participants should sent in their works to the DV so they can get DSS and perhaps a DC for their work extra.
I think that explains everything that is to know about this feud. Now go and show Galeres which is the better Obelisk House. Remember Cestus still holds the title Third House of the Obelisk Order, and proof them why.

Last week MaikoSpince decided to leave Cestus and to join Rogue, I hope he will come back to us one day. But at the same time we got a new member. With great joy I can inform you that OBL Michael Halcyon decided to leave Rogues and to join our ranks. A big and hearty welcome to you Mike, I hope your stay with us will be as much fun as you have hoped. He already did a good deed for Cestus for setting up a yahoogroups for us. Yes it's been another week and now it's time for a little report.
Jeremy Leto Cleon Alexander Demerzel has gained in rank. He completed a nice little story and did a good job of it.
No medals were awarded this week that I'm aware of :( Oh well, can't have medals every week.
The monthly topics are still up for people to write on. I highly suggest doing so because even if you do not place in the top three, your activity will be noticed and you will be rewarded. Please do remember to CC me and Hades plus your TET.
On the topic of TETs, I'm not too pleased with the amount of interest in the Wizard TET position. Hades and I will come to a conclusion with what we do have here in a few days.
Hades will be on a LoA for next week though he might be around a few times. I will be on a LoA the week following and will not have access to a computer at all. I will remind everyone of this before I leave.

I dream in digital.
MD arrives on PLT aegis after a long, semi-leave. After wondering around the PLT to make sure all was well he made his way to the cantina. To his surprise the place was CLEAN! Dark Jedi of various ranks sat and drank, other trained and others just sat reading reports. No one was talking, at least not very audibly. We have GOT to fix this
Guys this week I would like to put special emphasis on communication! use the e-group(some people aren't on it so you may way to use every one's e-mail individually) and the MB. We have the house run on at the MB(nothing this week, I can't make every 2nd post all the time!) So get out of your shells and TALK!
NEWS:
We have a comp up coming with another house. I need to know in the next 2 days if you can play MP or not. If their aren't enough the comp will be only SP.
As many of you have noticed, I have been away. The reason is because I have been SWAMPED with work at school. I dropped one of teh courses I don't need so now I will have more time for you guys:) Thanks to AED Pel and teh CMDRs who seem to have taken care of most things in my absence.
Tarentum is the biggest clan in the DB! WOO! GO US! That doesn't mean you should stop recruiting though guys, get out there and find new people to join the ranks:)

AED Pel's got a Mission creation comp going(you don't actually have to MAKE the mission if you don't want, just the plot and stats for it) for the rest of teh month.
"Now then, to the Batmobile, I mean to the details...this is a Mission Outline Comp. This is one of the items that are part of the Jedi Trials for Tridens. It is NOT the same as a Battleplan. Your mission is to make a mission, or at least explain to me how you WOULD make the mission, if you did make it.
Basically, if your mission creation skills are up to the challenge, make a mission with the guidelines I give, on the platform of your choice. If they aren't, then describe in as much detail as you can, what the mission WOULD be if you did make it. The more things you put in it (extras like briefing questions, true 3D waypoints, in-flight messages, etc) the better. The bare minimum is Flight Groups, arrival times, starting locations, orders and win conditions. Basically enough to just play the mission, in a very rough state. Include a minimum plotline file as well....explaining how Tridens and the Pirates are reacting....are the pirates attacking, fleeing, calling for more help, and what does Tridens command do. It can be a short story, a couple of paragraphs, or just the basics that I am giving you, and a couple of more sentences added to show what you have done.
And here's the details: Single Mission (Free mission) - Defense of PLT Aegis (or similar title, if you actually make the mission and wish to get it TAC approved). Pirate raiders, using an old chart decide to hit the Yridia sector, not knowing that Tridens has it's main base of operations around Yridia 2. At the time of the attack Stingray squadron is away on a training exercise, and Sub-zero squadron has just stood down and is off-duty. Starting Tridens forces are therefore only 1 T/I squadron (HammerHead) and the PLT Aegis. Total Tridens forces available will be 3 T/I squadrons, the PLT, and the Corellian Corvette Cerberus, which happened to be near enough to answer the call for help that the PLT issued. How long it takes for the extra forces to arrive on scene, is up to you. Remember, Sub-Zero will be launching from the platform, as soon as possible, and Stingray will be responding to the alert the PLT issued.
Pirate forces are up to you, but be reasonable...they were expecting to find a backwater planetary system, perhaps with a few defences....not a full Jedi Clan of Sith.
Remember, the goals of this comp are many-fold. Firstly, it is a chance for all of us to do something different. It is a way for those of you that will need to take the Trials to prepare. It will possibly add to the list of available DB missions. It will be a lot of fun, to see what ideas everyone has, and just to do this. Don't forget that the more entries received, the better the medals awarded will be, so help your Master or Apprentice to enter, encourage your wingmate to try it out, offer advice to your squadron, whatever you can do. "
