I'm not too sure where my report disappeared to, I "thought" i sent it Sunday, though it's not come through, so I'll give a mid week update now. First thing to say is I'm back to school, so for this week I'll probably be on a little less than usual as I get back to actual work.

Thinking back to last week, which after the chaos over here - snowstorms and such - in the last couple of days seems so long ago, I'll try to remember what I stuck in my report the other day.

Frigate Foresight - The Truth

Well I managed to find out pretty much everything about this, and what the DC view it as. Basically, it was made up for a Run-On, so we don't actually have it as an official possession. That said, I myself am quite happy to see it used internally, in battles designed, run-ons and the like, its had history in a few competitions - like its name having been changed from Free Lance to Foresight, so I'm quite happy to see it used....even if we can't formally use it in wargames, feuding and whatever else.

As for our GJW rewards...well, we came 2nd in GJW #4, though that was the one GJW they chose to only award first place...so convieniently the year we were active we got nothing. Though, I may be pursuing this now that I've got the Foresight out the way, as I find it somewhat annoying that we got nothing then, and if nothing more it causes something of a recruitment problem - that being other Clan's have more to say for themselves, we don't, despite that we have won in the past, despite that usually we're considered to have lost every time, so I would like to get something for that win.

Master Student Program

Well I released this early last week, you should ALL have read it through by now, as it is very important. I would include it here, but its extremely long so you'll have to check it out on the Brotherhood's website, I've included it as an addenum report to this report on the site, so you can see it there.

As for the Program itself...I've asked Quaestor's to take on the tasks of First Masters for now, with myself acting as Headmaster for the time being. I'm therefore opening applications...though with no guarentees here.

As for becoming Masters, like I said in the email, its not really a case of applying to be a Master as much as coming up with an excuse for NOT being a Master. As for as far as I see it, theres very little excuse if you're not in leadership and supposedly still active - if you can sit on IRC you can be a Master, as you just need to get htem on IRC and talk to them.

Anyhow, you should all be expecting some details from your Quaestors about that, or have recieved already. If you're in a dire rush to become a Master, please email your relevant First Master - thus, Quaestor for the moment.

Promotion Points Redundancy

I'd like to just point out that in respect of the new MSP (Master Student Program for those unaware) I'm disbanding the promotion points. I'll still encourage people to keep points tallies, as I know in HLK as an example its a big thing with a compettiive edge to it, but as of now there are no longer any promotion point guidelines. What were 'promotion' points are now adopting their proper name as 'activity' points to avoid the confusion of them being linked to promotions directly. They can still be used for those not in the MSP, but getting 30 points or whatever will no longer guarentee you a promotion, I've effectively made it far easier to get promotions via the MSP so if you want a guarenteed guideline then join the MSP. Those not in the MSP will be considered mature enough to work towards their promotion on their own, so likewise be mature enough not to need to worry about aiming for points - if you want a series of set goals to get a promotion become a Student.

DB Leadership Studies

Its good to see that all leaders have taken this, so my thanks to all of you for having gotten all of CNS' summit out of the group having not taken the course. I'm also pleased to see quite a lot of others taking it, good to see we've got some people looking into being leaders in the future.

Status Update on the Elite Black Guard

As many of you will no doubt be aware, the administrative leader of the Black Guard, Lord Primus Kant Lavar has retired from active service in the Brotherhood to pursue a career in the US Military. I'm deeply saddened by his decision, though I do look forward to the prospect of him returning one day in the future.

This brings up the issue of the position of Lord Primus, and...for the moment we won't have one. Since I'm in the process of coming up with a system that works the Guard for the moment, unless you're already in it, will be in a state of limbo.

House News Foreword

I'd just like to remind everyone the necessity to upload reports to the database, this is not a request its an executive order and we have to do it...theres not really any room for argument here, its the same as the leadership studies. Though I'm pleased to see reports still trickling in despite the holiday season last week still, though I would like to see a full hand of reports this week, as I'm expecting all festivities to have ended by now...

Conclusion

Thats it for this week, I think. I don't really remember last week much after having too much to think about the last couple of days. Anyhow, I hope things get back to normal this week, and hopefully within the fortnight everyone will be back to normal full activity.
