Greetings members of Tarentum and honored guests

To those of you who pay attention to such things, you will notice I have included a new person in my CC list. He is none other than Grand Master Emeritus Lord Jac Ae-Sequiera Cotelin. Lord Jac was the Grand Master of the Dark Brotherhood when a young Apprentice named Domi first entered the ranks and has been recently appointed Emissary to the Clans by Grand Master Firefox. In other news, I am sure you all know by now that Mage is no longer the Headmaster of the Shadow Academy. As a brief recap, Mage resigned and then decided to retract his resignation. Grand Master Firefox decided not to allow the retraction, effectively removing Mage from the post. So the Shadow Academy does not have a Headmaster, nor is Grand Master Firefox accepting applications at this time. So please don’t flood his inbox with applications. It is also unclear at this time if the College of Lore, one of Mage’s projects, is still going ahead or not.

As the more astute of you may also have noticed, I haven’t been flooding your inboxes and the #Tarentum topic with GJW messages of late. That’s because nothing has happened. We seem to have hit a lull in the wargame as nothing has been posted since the release of the Round 5 results. In addition, we apparently have gained more territory than first thought as AED Hades has pointed out that some of our movements have been incorrectly mapped. We are still in an alliance with CSP and at last glance were still engaged with Clan Naga Sadow, who apparently have allied with Clan Arcona. I can only ask that you all work diligently on your Order projects and on the Open Projects while we wait for the wargame to resume. So, please do your best and hand something in.

I do want to express my deepest thanks to all of those that have been participating in the event to this point. I don’t want to name people because I might forget someone and hurt their feelings. But you know who you and I want you to know the Consul and I really appreciate the efforts you’ve made.

Now, I would like to address another subject. This is a bit more delicate and I will try not to offend or anything. But, I have seen and heard a few things of late that have caused me great trouble. Again, I am not going to name anyone or even refer to the actual incidents. Those of you who were involved know and that’s enough. Suffice it to say this, when you joined Clan Tarentum you joined a great Clan with a truly proud history. That greatness came about through people from different age groups, ethnic backgrounds, genders, political views and the rest, putting those differences aside and working together in an environment of mutual respect to form something bigger. I fear this has been lost and it’s something we must regain. I have always tried my best to treat everyone with the same amount of respect and fairness regardless of your rank, gender or whatever. I expect the same from each of you. I expect each of you to ‘leave your ego at the door’, as it where. I expect you will treat each other with respect, tolerance and compassion. We live in difficult times and no one truly knows the cost of these times to the people we deal with on line. You are in Tarentum to serve the needs of Tarentum and to further the goals of Tarentum. If you are not, I suggest you have a talk with the Master At Arms. And be warned now, I will be removing people from #Tarentum, or any other Tarentum-related channel in which I have the authority to do so, if they fail to act in a civilized manner.

Oh, yes. I wanted to add that to this point I have received exactly zero from any of you in terms of ideas for the Clan website. Does this mean you don’t care if we have one? Like the one we have? Don’t know what a website is? What? If you’re interested in helping out or want to offer some insight, I’d be grateful.
