Greetings Arconans,

We have come to the decision to close both the Galeres Marshals and the Voidbreaker Battleteams. This is in order to consolidate the focus and energy of our leadership team on the two Houses themselves. This does mean we will not be utilizing the role of Battleteam Leaders(BTLs) for now, until we reinstate the use of battleteams. While the Marshals’ BTL is currently vacant post Luka’s stepping down, we appreciate both theirs and Mune’s hard work and dedication they did for the teams. They still will be willing to help out anyone that needs it and be involved where able.

The teams are not going anywhere however. Both will remain as a fictional unit that members can continue having ties with, engaging, and carrying out their stories through. The only change will be out-of-character and an administrative one on how the Clan Summit runs. Each member will be organized into their respective Houses’ rosters, but otherwise can continue to identify in-character as members of their teams — similar to how some of us identify as DIA agents, members of the Arcona Armed Forces, the Gal Medics, Envoys, etc.

There are several benefits of consolidating the units. One is having both a Quaestor and Aedile will allow more dedicated 1 on 1 attention. We’ll be able to run and manage more frequent and focused content and activities. Additionally, this will give more room to allow members to identify their character with either the Voidbreaker or Marshals regardless of what House they are in. This has already been happening to some degree, and just makes sense with Arcona’s footprint in terms of active members.

If we are able to recruit more members and grow our Clan membership, we can look into reinstating the battleteams again in the future. Likewise, if you are a member interested in leadership, please reach out and we will work with you on learning some of the aspects that go into, collaborating with competitions, engaging with peers, projects etc. We hope to cultivate a positive future for the clan.
