Rhysio Syko clung to the shadows like a common thief. He glanced over his shoulder, checking to see if he had been followed. The paranoia had gotten worse in the last few days. He felt as if his every breath was being monitored. He constantly felt as if the walls would fall in on him. He needed to move quickly.
He pressed his back against a cargo crate. He wished he could camouflage himself against it, disappearing into the carbon blacks and industrial grey. He could not. The best he could do would be to move quickly and quietly. This whole charade would soon be at an end.
Syko sprung from his position, diving down an aisle between stacked rows of crates bound for the Caperion system. The warehouse was at the core of the outpost. If he were to complete his task successfully, it would have to be here and it would have to be now.
He crept to the middle of the row, glancing back once again. He knelt down and pulled a small metal device from the fold of his boot. His thumb traced a small silvered button. He sighed a deep breath and pressed it. A solitary red light blinked on and off in sequence.
“Oi! Syko! Cap’ns lookin’ for ye!” came the gruff voice of a Nikto.
Rhysio’s training kicked in. He didn’t panic, he wasn’t flustered. Still kneeling, he tore the button from his boot and it fell loose. With a quick sleight of hand, the small blinking device slipped into his pocket.
“Yeah, yeah.. I’m coming” he replied immediately.
“Been lookin’ all over for ye… Whut you doin’ in ‘ere?” the Nikto asked...

And with that, the first part of Den of Syn comes to its dramatic conclusion. I hope you all had as much fun as we enjoyed running it.

These events takes alot of work to run. Between writing the fiction and organizing the competitions, a great deal of time and effort goes into it and I thank everyone who took an interest and participated in it. I hope to continue this story in the future, so be on the look out.
