[HQD] - June's Smokescreen (Mini-Event Starts on June 3rd!)

A Message from the Quaestor

Hey guys! You will see less of me in June. My family has been very ill so my mental health took a nosedive. Especially after my mom had a major surgery. If you want details, you can always DM me on discord or ask in chat. I don’t want to bring this exciting report down!

Not only that, I will be going to see them from June 8th-15th and will not have my laptop with me so I will not be online during those times. Then I have surgery (Nothing severely bad, I had a similar surgery before. In fact I’m looking forward to it so I can finally have less medical problems) on the 17th so I will be in and out for the rest of June while I recover.

However! This does not mean the Qel-Droma will poof! Doon will make sure things keep running and encourage yall to do the mini event so I can return to see high numbers of participation when I return!

I really do hope you guys enjoy the varieties of the mini-event and the options for the fiction!

A Message from the Aedile

Hello again, it is I, Doon Doon Softpaw Sulvir. I am very much looking forward to getting settled into my role here as Aedile. There are a lot of things I’d like to do, but for now my focus is on making sure this first month gets wrapped up nicely. You’ll be left in just my hands for a bit but don’t worry, as the name implies they are very, very soft.

I don’t have too much more to add now, other than to tell you all to keep an eye out and an ear to the ground, lots of things are in the works and I am excited to see everything play out.

House Fiction Update

Phantom Complex

“What the kark!?” Sofila yelped in the meeting, her voice almost echoed down the hallways of the Phantom Complex. There was a holoprojection from the middle with the faces of Umbra Ferrum’s crew. After a few seconds, it would show goods they had stolen. Ranged from food, weapons, droids, creatures, and much more. Then back to the faces.

“Are you telling me that this Um-bra-”

“Uhm-bruh.” Alex, the newly appointed Voidbreaker II Captain, corrected her.

“Yes, that, whatever, thank you, had decided to try to undermine us by using the crisis on Selen as a- as a- Kriff!”

“Diversion?” Alex suggested

“Smokescreen,” Doon added, the new Aedile of Qel-Droma.

“Yes!” Sofila huffed in frustration as she glared at the Umbra Ferrum’s pictures on the screen. Her foot was tapping relentlessly on the floor and her nails were rapidly tapping on the desk. Doon’s single ear flattened against the base of his skull with the incessant drumming of her nails. Both Doon and Alex glanced over her. Sofila saw the stares from them and she stopped. Instead, she crossed her arms.

“Well. While we were a bit delayed, they’re still here right?” She looked over to the debriefer, one of the Qel-Droma’s members.

“Yes ma’am.”

“Then let’s ask the members of Qel-Droma for help, shall we?” Sofila got up from the chair and stepped away from the table. She stopped right before at the door and looked to the three of them, “Oh, and I want the Captain alive.”
