[HQD Summit Report]: Hoolekgangs

Introduction
A Message from the Quaestor
Hallo, my lektastic Qel-Dromites!
The winds of winter are lapping at my tender ankles and the leaves are turning various shades of not-green. So it seems we’re nearing the better parts of the year! For your enjoyment, we’re doing a smol Ol’val development thing to flesh out the cretins and cretinettes who’re now flocking in to fill up the space left by the old Cartels in the wake of our previous House storyline.
On a personal front, I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with all them apples our tree has been bleeding all over the back yard, so I’ve been learning new skills like drying, applesauce making, and looking to branch out into juicing. So in case this is my last report, at least my demise came in cider.
Signed, Your Lekhead
A Message from the Aedile
Hello fellow Qel-Dromans!
Hopefully everyone has had a chance and some time to recover from our valiant war efforts! I know I’m feeling just a tad bit refreshed in spite of the Pumpkin Spice craze that happens at Starbucks every year. Nervous laugh.
Anywho, there’s some goodies below to dive in to and a mini event to give everyone a taste of the Ol’val you all had a say in building since the last event.
Signed, Jazzy

House Fiction Update
Phantom Complex
Port Ol’val
40 ABY
“—recent invasion of Selen has led me to reevaluate my priorities to spend more time with my family. Effective immediately, I am tendering my resignation.”
Tali Sroka bit her lip as the pale glow of the terminal illuminated her purple face, the rows of Aurebesh cool and professional, leaving her nothing to hold on to, nothing to try and twist against the sender had she wanted to. He had been playing this game far longer than she had and it showed.
She sighed, considered her options for a moment and typed out a curt reply.
“Understood. Good luck.”
What more was there to say? With a pang of envy, she closed the terminal and turned around to gaze out through the singular luxury she’d splurged on for herself—a dug-out window that gave her a view of the cold space outside Ol’val. There, in the distance, she could see the pale blue dot orbiting their shared sun and somewhere on that planet so many families with untold stories yet to play out.
She wrapped her arms around herself as a distant chill raced down her spine. That pain was less now and perhaps one day she’d start a new story untold. One day, perhaps.

Competitions
Here’s a curated list of fun stuff to do this month to earn those tasty Credits and Clusters:
We kicked out the Paladins, but we also kinda broke the Cartels in the process. Guess it’s time to repopulate the Criminal Underground! No, not like that…
Draw planets! This week’s planet: Endor!
Aru’s puzzles are back! Or did they never leave?
Hoo boy, this one’s a doozy! When was the last time your OC was happy?
It’s that time of year again! Aru’s Podracing time!
AskLeksAvery
Aru had some burning questions:
- ”What changes can we expect in Protocol now that the new Captain has been hired?”
- Tali: “I don’t think he’s one for Protocol. Seems more like a direct action -sort of person.”
- Avery: “Yes, I do suppose it would be entirely dependent on the new Captain.”
- ”How's life treatin ya?”
- Tali: “I’m drowning in produce!”
- Avery: “Quite swell.”
- ”What changes can we expect in Protocol now that the new Captain has been hired?”
Zuza yearns to slake her thirst for knowledge:
- ”You let the previous captain clear her search history and move her.. uh confidential files right? No reason, just, checking up on protocol? ”
- Tali: “After formal screening all personal documents storedt aboardt the Voidbreaker can be transferredt to personal storage units. I’m sure there’s nothing to be vorriedt about in there, right? Just a formality, really.”
- Avery: “There’s a purpose for record keeping and archival reasons.”
- ”How did the war treat you both? ”
- Tali: “Not as roughly as ve treatedt it! Muahahaaa!”
- Avery: “Save for the loss of life, I suppose it was fine as fine as a war could treat someone.”
- ”You let the previous captain clear her search history and move her.. uh confidential files right? No reason, just, checking up on protocol? ”
In Closing…
With Autumn closing in on us, it’s time to peel our eyes for the Clan story to pick up again before long. So remember to keep your lightsabers sharp and your blasters lubed, ‘cus wherever the Shadowlord goes, there’s bound to be trouble!
