Mid-event fiction update

Scholae were coming. It was undeniable. Through the Scholae Empire's control of Caelestis they had easily taken control of Nethal IV, V and VI, the ones furthest from the Meraxis base on Nethal Prime, through long range volleys fired directly from the city and from air raids. Nethal III was the obvious next target. Captain Rigel Syklan, a young aspiring commander of the Collective army, stood with his second in command, a much older man, `Old Sarge' Jarvis.

A note on how this was written: Both Calindra and Reiden, in their fiction entries, produced very interesting NPCs. Cali took the first place the interesting storytelling she gave, going back 3 years to one of her first ever DB fictions back in the Red Fury pirates event (remember that?) and had one of the NPCs she cut up in that event eventually join the Collective. Reiden had a firefight on the Nethal Archipelago where he and his team fought off the Collective leader. I want to include as many people in the clan storytelling as possible, so rather than using the winner's fiction update, I've combined these two fictions together into one update.

Phase 1 Results:

I'd like to thank everyone that took place in the phase 1 events. Due to the high number of 'light' competitions this time around and the large number of participants in each, a complete breakdown in report is impractical, but congratulations to Calindra, Reiden and Xantros for their excellent fiction entries, Aylin and Ulfsark for putting in two high quality graphics, and Jorm, Alara and Derek for excellent activity across the light competitions.
