As Bubba recently teased in the ID-line removal announcement, the Council has been working on a new system that allows members to select and display honorifics such as rank, position, titles, and more on their dossier and various other places on the website. As of today, a first version of this Honorifics system has been rolled out and is available to use.

If you visit the Edit dossier section on your admin page, you'll notice two new fields showing up, allowing you to select one prefix and one suffix honorific from a list of options determined by your rank, positions, titles, society ranks and various other criteria.

Your chosen prefix honorific essentially replaces the old order-based rank name display and is shown anywhere the site used to show your rank before your name. It should be no surprise that you'll find the names for your current and previously held ranks showing up under the available honorific options. The suffix honorific doesn't show up as often, mainly due to space constraints. It's currently visible on member dossier pages as well as the top of your personal admin panel, and it may show up in other places in the future.

We currently have 145 different honorific options in the database, which we'll leave for you to discover on your own, and we most likely will be adding even more in the near future!

Please note that this first version of this system only allows you to select honorific options for your main dossier, but eventually you'll have the ability to select an individual prefix and suffix for each one of your characters.
