GJW Gaming Update: Jedi Academy and HotS Bracket Placement Method

Announcement

Hello DJB! You all are putting out some incredible matches in the Jedi Academy and Heroes of the Storm Bracket competitions! I wasn’t planning on putting this information out until the mid-war break, but since we’re so far along in one bracket, I need to get the methodology for placements out to you now so you can all prepare!

Remember. First through Tenth Place matters for the GJW. I’m going to make you work for your placement, even if it doesn’t award Novae. You get points. And points are gooood.

5th-10th Place Placement Brackets, Explained

Placement for the Jedi Academy Bracket and the HotS 2v2 Bracket will be determined in the following manner:

The Final Four will all play two matches. First, they will compete to determine the top two Jedi Academy Players and HotS Teams in the DJB. The two members or teams who lose in the final four will play each other to determine 3rd and 4th place.

For 5th through 8th place, The four members or teams that lost in the Elite Eight will follow the same manner. They will compete to determine the matchup for 5th and 6th place, while the members or teams who lost their matches will compete for 7th and 8th place.

For 9th and 10th place, the eight members or teams who lost in the Sweet Sixteen will play another bracket.

Both the 5th through 8th place brackets and 9th and 10th place brackets will be randomly seeded.

The timeframes for the secondary and tertiary brackets should give everyone plenty of time to get matches in. If you have any issues with getting your matches completed, please let me know. I will expect that you have done everything you can to match up with your opponent. Send me the email traffic and telegram logs and I will make a determination on a way ahead.

Thank you all for taking part in the GJW gaming events. I sincerely hope you are all enjoying them!
