Earlier today a new Campaign began for the Star Wars Commander App. The title of this Campaign is "Secret Alliances", one of the rewards you can earn by playing it is a new hero, Johhar Kessen. The following description of Johhar is pulled straight from the game:
Johhar was once an influential senator, but his underworld activities proved more enjoyable so he quit. In battle he deals extreme damage to infantry, vehicles, droidekas, and heroes.
With the new droidekas which can be used to defend you base he sounds like he would be pretty useful in PVP battles. As with previous campaigns there is a competition which will run for this as well. Its currently pending MAA review, since I just got home to submit it, but expect it to be available soon. Standard campaign competition, if you're familiar with the past ones I've run.

who links games to their Facebook anymore? that is so 2012.
If your phone is an Android and was linked to Google Play, you can use that to get your base back when you login on your new phone. You just have to go through the tutorial stuff until it lets you access the settings.
