High atop the imposing tower of the Citadel which loomed over Estle City on Selen, the Throne Room was illuminated in a flickering cascade of purple and blue lighting. The flames - perhaps real, perhaps simulated - which lit the room waxed and waned as each second passed. A solitary figure sat at the far end of the chamber, dwarfed within the massive Serpentine Throne despite not being a small man. He was clad in all black: a black shirt with Mandarin collar adorned with silver buttons and inlaid with an intricate pattern - also black, but a distinct matte against the shine of the silk of the shirt - was clasped at his wrists with the matte black and gold-trimmed bracers of his Mandalorian armor. Simple black slacks rested over a pair of black patent leather Oxford shoes.
The face of Alex Draconis had a frown deep set within it as he contemplated the room before him. He had never expected to be here, seated in the Serpentine Throne and responsible for the entire Clan of Arcona. It was a hefty weight to bear, though not one he felt incapable of. Above it all, however, one deep concern would not leave from the forefront of his mind.
“I have got to get a better cushion for this chair…”
Hello Arcona! Welcome to my first report at the Consul of the Clan. …I don’t know what I’m doing here either, but I think it’s going to be exciting for all of us to find out!
All seriousness though, I am proud and honored to be entrusted with the future of Arcona, a place I have called home for basically all of my time in the Brotherhood. I am dedicated to doing everything I can to see Arcona succeed and grow, and make this Clan a place where everybody wants to be!
It’s been a while since we’ve had a report or discussion about things around the Clan, and I don’t want to get too overwhelming with this report so I’ll just give a brief overview of my plans for the near future. More details can wait for future reports (a thing I intend to make sure we get back to having regularly) and supplemental updates as important events or changes take place.
The brief plan:
…Speaking of which. My first act as Consul of Arcona was to find a replacement for myself in the Proconsul role. We had a lot of really great applicants, and after careful consideration I have selected who I believe is the best choice to help me guide Arcona into the future! Everyone please join me in welcoming our new Proconsul, Nora Olen!
Nora comes to us with a substantial history of leadership in her former Clan, Plagueis. Her application showed both a significant interest in what we’re doing here in Arcona, as well as an impressive understanding both of what we’re about as a Clan and also some of the biggest challenges we currently face - especially impressive for someone who wasn’t in the Clan to see from the inside! I have high hopes that Nora will be a great leader for us and a huge boon to our future!
I’ve talked long enough here; without further ado I’ll pass it off to Nora so she can say hello!

Hey, Arcona!
Some of you might know me already for my scissors, my obsession with Button, or just my tendency to throw myself into all the things. For those who don’t, hi! I’m Nora Olen. I’ve spent the past three years in Clan Plagueis, serving in leadership through just about every role imaginable: Aedile, multiple Quaestor terms, and even a period as Proconsul. It’s been an incredible journey and I’m deeply grateful to everyone there for helping me grow.
That said, I couldn’t be more excited and honestly honored to be here, joining Clan Arcona. Arcona has such a rich history of balance between light and dark, chaos and precision, shadow and spotlight, and I can’t wait to help carry that legacy forward. I have a few ideas brewing: strengthening cross-House collaboration through story and events, expanding how members can engage in fiction and diplomacy (especially with CADRES and the Dajorran Confederacy), and finding creative new ways for everyone to shine, whether you love writing, gaming, art, or chaos.
More than anything, I want to help make sure every member feels connected, inspired, and part of something bigger. You’ll be seeing more from me soon, but for now, thank you for the warm welcome. I’m ready to dive in, scissors and all.
Nora Olen

The most recent Cycle of Season I: Parabellum (isn’t that the third John Wick movie?) has wrapped up!
We had an okay showing from Arcona: 13 of our members took part in the competitions, with our own Starosta, Bril Teg Erinos even placing 5th in the Fiction Pillar! That’s a good job from everyone and while I certainly would have liked to see even more participation from our crew, I also recognize that there was a lot going on - Seasons, Pro Bowl, and individual comps not to mention all manner of RL stuff happening.
Hopefully the next Cycle - the dates still have yet to be decided - will fall at a better time for all of us when we’re in better places to show the rest of the Brotherhood what Arcona can really do!

One of the things I intend to do as part of my term as Consul is revisit how Discretionary Funds for the Houses are distributed. We have a LOT of funds as a Clan, and don’t tend to do much with them. I’m hoping that if we can get more funds into the hands of the Houses - smaller, more focused, more “agile” units - we can find better ways to expand the lore and narrative spaces available to Arcona.
To that end, I have brought both Houses’ funds up to 25 million, and will be working over the next month or so with the rest of the Clan Summit to figure out how we want to handle distribution going forward - all with the intent of getting more funding into the hands of the Houses.

That’s about all we’ve got for now. I want to thank all of you for your patience as we’ve gone through some turbulent times here in Arcona. We’ve stuck it through, and while I wouldn’t go so far as to say I think we’re in a good place now, I do believe that things are going to get better from here on out.
I hope you all can join me in our optimistic view of the future of Arcona.
