Back Home in a New House

The Pinnacle, Aliso

It was quite a view from up here

Arden had always enjoyed a good vantage point. It came as a habit being a sniper, you wanted to see as much as possible to find a target and high places were always the best for that. Set into a cliff as it was , the rooftop of the Pinnacle offered a supreme view of the complex and plains below. He had taking to spending a lot of time up here staring out over the vista gathering his thoughts.

And he still had plenty to think about.

"Sir, may I disturb you?" The voice of Malice interrupted his thoughts, but he didn't dismiss her. He simply nodded and she sat down next to him.

After an awkward moment of silence, Malice finally said something. "It's quite a view, isn't it sir?"

"Yes, yes it is," Arden replied without taking his eyes off a point in the distance. "How goes the process of finding a place to settle in?"

Malice responded quickly, fully expecting the questions. "We've finished off loading our forces and our scouts have already found some promising locations. I have Kul'tak compiling the reports. Hopefully those bastards in Karness Muur won't steal all the prime real estate."

"Don't speak that way about them to me." Arden finally snapped around to look at his underling. "Need I remind you that was my House once. Also, the Dread Lord wants to work together and not continue to fight amongst ourselves anymore.

"Aw, that's no fun," she replied. "I thought you'd want to compete with them, prove you're better. I've heard about your past exploits, quite a tale. And the stories I've heard about you and the Dread Lord"

A tinge of anger snuck into the Quaestor's voice. "That's in the past, and I doubt you heard the whole story. We may have had our squabbles, but that's not an issue anymore."

The Aedile seemed curious. "So is that why you came back?"

"No," Arden grumbled. "I'm not sure I'm ready to talk about that yet."

I'm Baaack!

As my this is my first report back on the summit, I wanted to take an opportunity to say how good it is to be back. While I am still looking to make an impact on the Brotherhood as a whole, it's good to be focused on giving back to Plagueis again. Hopefully we can have a great experience and keep making this house a force to be reckoned with.

Welcome Aboard

Let me take this opportunity to welcome Sceledrus to the unit. He's already gotten off to a fast start having made the rank of Proselyte in the past two days. I also hear he might be related to some guy named Drac...

Conclusion and Moment of Zen

I wanted to conclude by saying that it's great to be a part of this house at a time of transition in the Clan and the cusp of some exciting things for the Brotherhood. With Possessions on the way, we're going to see a lot of fun things get added. If you get invited to the Possessions Beta (see The Grandmaster's Report ) I encourage you to take it seriously and give useful and honest feedback to help make it the best system. A lot of people have worked really hard on it and they deserve your time if you are asked to participate.

Oh, and for those who weren't around the last time I was in the summit, I have a bit of a tradition, borrowed from The Daily Show, of including a short video at the end of the report. They call it the Moment of Zen and my first MoZ back will be a true example of yin and yang. What happens, you ask, when an adorable critter gets angry. Well, this: Angry Bunneh!

Thanks for the report, Arden!

Ah, Arden is back. Bugs gone. It's a good day
