Odanites,
We are well into the Summer, just finished the Pro Bowl and we can see the next GJW looming in the distance, but we have a whole slew of new members so slather on that sunblock and inflate those swimmies because, without further adieu, I bring you the news...
Pcon Chosen!
Everyone please stand and applaud our new Proconsul, Gui Sol! He has returned to us after doing a fantastic job in Clan Vizsla and with that same energy and ambition, he will continue to work hard for us as he’s done in the past. I’ll let him get into more detail in his post below but I look forward to seeing his ideas for the Clan come to life.
I’d also like to thank Aura for the fine work she has done as Pcon. It’s time for her to have a much-needed break and I promise this time, I’ll let her have one.
Hi, I’m Gui
First and foremost, the Guru of Gadgetry would like to say, it feels good to be back. Sometimes, stepping away for a bit allows you to mentally reconnect with your true passions and one of my passions has always been this Clan. When I left to accept the position of Proconsul of Vizsla. I seized an opportunity and was able to help them in numerous ways. We had good members funneling in and potential leaders eager to move up. I'm proud of the work I was able to put in there and am glad to have found some new friends. Yet, when the Proconsul position of Clan Odan-Urr opened up. I felt a draw that I could no longer ignore.
Being able to work with Revak closely. He has always been in tune with my vision as I'd like to think I am in tune with his. We were able to discuss and plan quite a few things that I'm hoping you all will enjoy. One such thing (which will lead into an eventual storyline) is the RP I started in Discord called the Darkness of Kalsunor. If you have never tried Roleplay in the DB or anywhere else for that matter. I'm running these events in the spirit of maintaining a fun and judgment free-zone. Sure we will offer you help if you need it, but please don't be intimidated by our events. They are great places to learn the ropes and to earn XP and credits.
In addition, my 10 weeks of random art event is back!!
Only, it has been trimmed down to 4 weeks due to the pending GJW (Great Jedi War). If you aren't an artist, that's fine!
Feel free to do whatever you can, even if it's just finger-painting, I don't care. Just adhere to the prompt and you're in it to win it.
Expect me to really dig into recruitment. Since returning I've managed to recruit 6 people (hoping for more) - remember that everyone can recruit. So, if you have friends and family that would appreciate this club as much as we do. Please. Don't hesitate to ask, you have nothing to lose but they have everything to gain in the form of fun times and countless adventures.
I will also be working on building upon the amazing fictional foundation that this club has to offer. There are so many different options available to us so I'm super excited to try out some new things. Hang in there folks, good things are on the horizon.
ProBowl!
Another year, another successful Pro Bowl! We’re all hard at work grading all of your entries and will have the results out to you very soon.
I want to thank all of you for participating and my fellow Consuls for kicking it off.
Next GJW
Take some time to rest but not too long because kicking off around August 26th we’ll be battling it out with the other Clans for the coveted First Clan title!
This is the Club’s biggest event of the year and will be running from August to October, so practice with some competitions and get pumped to represent the Clan.
I will keep you all informed as we draw nearer to the event.
As always, a transfer ban will be in effect beginning August 19th, you can read more about it in the MAA’s announcement.
2023 Scimitar of Lord Hoth July results!
It’s that time of the month again… when we announce the winner of the coveted Scimitar of Lord Hoth Competition for July. Things are heating up, 10 of you this month threw in for a chance to take home the Scimitar of Lord Hoth possession! Essik is the current Scimitar holder, so let's see who has what it takes to wrestle it from him next January!
