Sadow Palace

Sepros

From the balcony outside the Summit offices, DarkHawk and Lord Muz Ashen Keibatsu watched the final preparations below. Cargo crates and excavation equipment disappeared into the bellies of waiting transports bound for orbit, where the Perdition waited to receive them. Above the palace spires, Sepros drifted toward dusk, the sky bleeding into deep reds and bruised purples as the last light faded behind the mountains. A cold wind swept across the balcony. It carried the bite of a changing season, sharp against exposed skin. DarkHawk folded his arms along the stone railing. “The Science Division has the orbital scanners calibrated for deep survey of the Great Temple,” he said. “Surface sweeps and ground-penetrating scans. If anything is buried beneath that ruin, we’ll see it.”

Lord Keibatsu said nothing. DarkHawk exhaled slowly. “Master Stahoes already has excavation rigs loaded aboard the Perdition. Shouldn’t take long to expose whatever we find.”

One dark eyebrow rose slightly.

“Yeah,” DarkHawk admitted, glancing toward the distant transports lifting toward the sky. “A questionable should.” He straightened from the railing.

“The Perdition, the Fallen Spear, and Gravewing will hold overwatch. Two support vessels running escort, Spectre and Torment. If anything decides to interfere, they’ll regret it.”

Keibatsu’s voice was quiet. “Expecting trouble?”

“You know me, sir.” DarkHawk gave a faint shrug. “Just covering our six.”

The two Summiters turned from the balcony and descended toward the landing court where a shuttle waited. Moments later the craft lifted through Sepros’ darkening sky, the brilliant colors of dusk dissolving into the endless black of space.

In orbit, the Sadowan fleet hung like silent predators above the planet. The shuttle docked with the Fallen Spear. Lord Keibatsu moved directly to the bridge where Fleet Admiral Blackwind stood ready at the command console.

“Jump coordinates are plotted and locked,” Blackwind reported. “Ready on your order, my lord.” Keibatsu settled into the command chair, featureless black eyes staring into the stars beyond the viewport. Your secrets will be revealed.

The shuttle detached soon after, ferrying DarkHawk onward to the Gravewing before continuing to the Perdition. “Gravewing, this is Perdition. Mission check. How copy?”

Ty’s voice came across the channel immediately. “Perdition, this is Gravewing. We’re green across the board.

Spectre, Torment…status?”

Torment ready.”

Spectre ready.”

A moment later DarkHawk’s voice cut cleanly across the fleet channel. “Next stop…Yavin IV.”

Engines flared to life. In the span of a heartbeat, the Sadowan ships vanished into hyperspace.

Yavin IV

Eighteen Hours Later

The fleet dropped from hyperspace in silence above the jungle moon. Below them, the ancient mass of the Great Temple rose through the canopy like a fossilized monument to a forgotten age. From the hangars of the Perdition, transports launched and descended toward the ruins. Master Bentre Stahoes rode in the lead transport. As the jungle canopy rushed beneath them, he opened a channel.

“Excavation team en route to site. Droids and heavy equipment will begin deployment the moment we land.” DarkHawk answered immediately.

“Copy, Master Stahoes. Perdition, begin orbital scans as directed. Feed all telemetry directly to the ground team and maintain sector security. I don’t want visitors.”

Gravewing, this is Perdition. Orbital scans are already underway,” the reply came. “Sector will remain clear.”

Below them, the jungle waited. And whatever slept beneath the temple was about to be uncovered.

Orbit Above Yavin IV

High above the jungle moon, the Perdition drifted in silent orbit. From its hull, sensor arrays extended outward like the limbs of some patient predator. Beneath the armored plating, the ship’s scanning suites hummed to life as technicians fed streams of telemetry into the command deck.

Orbital scanners began their first passes across the ancient Massassi ruins. Layers of jungle canopy peeled away beneath the sensors. Stone, earth, and buried architecture unfolded in glowing holographic layers above the tactical display. DarkHawk stood beside the holotable while technicians adjusted calibration filters.

“Expanding penetration depth,” one officer reported. “Running cross-reference against the incomplete data Master Stahoes recovered from the New Sadow Palace.”

The holographic map shifted. Deep beneath the Great Temple, the scanners revealed irregular pockets within the bedrock. Not caverns. Not structural chambers. Voids.

DarkHawk leaned closer. “Those weren’t in the temple schematics recovered from the archives.”

“They weren’t in the scans from the New Palace either,” the technician replied. “But the pattern is similar.”

The projection rotated slowly. The voids formed strange geometries beneath the temple foundations. Angular corridors that ended abruptly, chambers that appeared to simply…stop.

Lord Keibatsu watched the shifting hologram in silence. DarkHawk glanced toward him. “Same problem Master Stahoes ran into at the New Palace. The scans just…drop out.”

“Not drop out,” the technician corrected quietly. “Something is blocking the signal.”

Clan News

As you can see the Clan is prepping for another operation to uncover some of Naga Sadows secrets. Who knows what we will uncover or run into on this operation but it should be pretty interesting unraveling some of our namesakes secrets. With our procurement of Naga Sadow’s Golden Table, sure there are others out there yet to be reclaimed! Tentatively the plan is to kick off a RP on this operation prior to the GJW, so be ready to dive in to a CNS treasure hunt!

There is a lot happening and we have more coming down the pipeline! Right now, the big news we would like to get everyone versed and acquainted with is the new policy on XP and pay outs. So if you have not heard the news or seen the new change in that policy then please head here Introducing Activity Tiers. This will break it all down for us and should give all of us a good warm fuzzy about earning a bit more cashola!

So now, I want to throw some accolades out for the folks that garnered themselves some kick ass awards last month. I want to say Lord Keibatsu and I had a blast doing these. There was a lot of great work put in on your guys part so huge kudos to you all! So, please another round of congratulations to the following folks:

As a reminder, this is not based on gaming alone, this is based on the total comp XP you earn each month. So whether you game, do fiction, art or puzzles that XP adds up and banks to your dossier. So as stated before, the more you do, the more you earn. And that fellow Sadowans adds up and you can be the next Blackguard of the Clan.
