Dinaari Aedile Report, 5/13/2014

Hello all!

This week finds us moving ever-closer to the ACC event for Fading Light. Several of our members have been hard at work to make the signup deadline on the 14th, and with luck, we'll get a few more qualifications in before the deadline! The tournament should be starting at the end of this week, at least according to the current deadline, so let's get it going!

Applications Open for Harbingers BTL
Nero - known to most of you as Decimo these days - has been an excellent BTL and has served the Harbingers well, getting the BT up and running. But, our plan has always been to open applications up for BTL on a regular basis so new members have a chance at leadership. Nero has done a great job at setting the stage - maybe you can take over from him and bring Harbingers to new heights! The requirements are simple, and listed below:

  • High Availability - Be around, on IRC, email, Google+, and other communication methods.
  • High Approachability - Be open to asking questions, receiving feedback, and inviting opinions from members.
  • High Activitiy - Lead by example! Be active in what you enjoy, and spread that enthusiasm to your members!

As a Battle Team Leader, you will be actively engaged in shaping the Clan's future. You will be engaged as a member of our summit and be brought into discussions about the Clan itself. You'll be expected to complete regular reports and updates, and run competitions as well. For more details on the specific duties and expectations, or to apply for the position, contact Kaz and Mav! Applications are open until May 27th, so you've got two weeks!

TOR- Level 15 Dueling
So some time ago, I got really into level 15 dueling. Shadow, Yacko and I played around with a ton of different characters and specs, and I had a blast.

I'm curious how many of you guys might be interested in trying to set up a dueling night. The purpose of this would be several fold: First of all, it'd get us some experience in a platform usuable for Vendettas that typically had a lot of people playing. Second, it'd give us a chance to test out specs and characters. And third, we could work on gearing and strategy and just mess around. I know several of you guys are TOR lovers, but even for those of us not big on TOR, level 15 dueling is an easy way for evey Free to Play members to get involved in major DB competitions. So what do you guys thinks?

Anyone want to mess around?

Tons of competitions!
Lots to do this week! Many of these last only another day or two, but still plenty of time to dive in!

Graphics

  • Tarax's Next Great Idea: A duel! Tarax has returned to offer a new competition, this time a graphic-based competition to depict the epic duel of swords between Mav and Tarax! Tarax, fresh off christening of his sword to Nitemare (Congrats, Halc), needs to test his blade against another sword, so...

Gaming

Fiction

  • Poetry - Got an itch to write poetry? Well, to be frank, I don't. But hey, if you do, go scratch it!
  • Prankster King - Silly comp to prank another DB member through any means you have!
  • Being Hunted - 500 minimum word fiction about being hunted by a bounty hunter.

Other

Fading Light: ACC
It's not too late to qualify for the ACC! Character sheets do not need to be customized more than writing a physical description and picking some Aspects, Skills, and Force powers, and both ACC exams are doable in short order. So if you think you want to participate in the ACC... Get it done! Both Ondur AND Kooks qualified today... so it's never too late! Get it done! Start with a character sheet. Once there, head over to ACC Fundamentals and get started!

That's it for this week!
