Disciples of Dreypa Battleteam Report

Word from the Instructor:

I’ve never been one to be sentimental but when you spend enough time in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood surrounded by good people you sometimes just have to be just a little bit sentimental when it comes to doing your Battleteams first ever report as well as the first report done since we became a Clan. I’ve been working hard on getting myself adjusted to a new Clan whilst the Clan has been working hard on adjusting to being a Clan. So first off let me say congratulations Plagueis on achieving something momentous, it was well earned and well deserved and I am truly honoured to come to you at such a busy time.

I, along with the rest of the House Ajunta Pall summit, have been developing the new Battleteam Disciples of Dreypa in our super secret lab...also known as the pub, or in Art’s case the Carrot field. We have made some epic progress and are currently in the process of putting the final touches to the documentation which will be hosted upon the Wiki for all to see. Of course like all projects there are some things to iron out though these mainly relate to topics like where we will be based, however I can promise it shall be up as soon as possible and you can all have a peek and ooh and ahh and other stuff.

I will relay some basic information to you regarding the Battleteam in a moment or so but I feel it is one of those necessary evils that I introduce myself to you and Taranae will introduce herself below that:

I’m a 25 year old Games Development student, with big plans to change my entire focus onto History and become a History teacher, yes one of those people. I currently live in Dundee, Scotland and have a pretty fantastic life. I’m Pagan, Wiccan and currently in a full time Coven which is the best thing in the world. I’m pretty laid back, down to earth and quite a hard worker when it comes down to it.

I’ve been in the Brotherhood technically since 08 when I joined with my online bro Etah, however I left to do other things and came back last year. Within that year I elevated two ranks, Jedi Hunter to EQ1, I rose to BT XO in Arcona and then BTL. Recently that came to an end when Shadow Gate was closed and I moved over to Plagueis to work with Monty who I came to know when he was House Qel-Droma summit. I expect nothing from anyone, that is to say you do what you can and I will make sure I am there to answer any questions or help with any problems you may have. My whole focus is helping you guys ascend and reach your full potential, but never feel you HAVE to do anything this is after all a fun club for friends, not your job.

Ophelia is a different kettle of fish altogether. Should you wish to include her in your fictions please feel free but know she is a straight to the point talker, hates small talk, is cold, brutal, malicious. Will not care if you pass or fail and will not go “well done” if you do something good, instead she may say “Do it again, better.” quite a bit. She is a Warrior first and foremost, finely tuned to do what she does best; Kill. Oh and she also has Cannibalistic tendencies so you know not to leave your removed joints lying about all over the place!

Well what can I say to follow that except welcome to the Disciples Of Dreypa! But seriously, take in all of what Opie said. Lots of things are planned for, and expected of this Battleteam with us being new. Lots of things are in the pipeline along with wiki documents which you would be advised to read when they are finished for our background. Our former name of Sorzus Syn is gone now, and with it we get a new rebirth as the Disciples Of Dreypa..

As for myself, I am a 27 year old courier living in Sheffield in the UK. I’m a Pagan but I don’t follow the Wiccan religion as Ophelia does, but I AM a practicing solitary white witch. I also have qualifications in computing (Microsoft Certified) and was hoping to get into the IT sector, but lack of experience is holding me back unfortunately. I’ve been in the Brotherhood just over 3 months now and have been told I am the fastest member to be elevated to DJK for quite some time having passed many SA courses. Seeing my potential, Arturis and Montresor asked me to become XO of this team, formerly known as Sorzus Syn, but then clans/houses were swapped and Opie became Team Leader and I stayed as XO. This is my first placement in any position of leadership, so please bear with me while I get myself accustomed to the post and I hope I can live up to the expectations that people have of me….

Taranae as a character is rather quiet with new people, but has a very fiery temperament. My advice is - don’t anger her! Her force powers have grown considerably since her first meeting and training with Brimstone and her true power is beginning to show as a Dark Jedi Knight. She won’t take no for an answer and as a juggernaut, uses brute strength along with force powers on the battlefield. She will firstly use her dual DL-44’s in battle at long range, but when in close quarters she will switch to her lightsaber with which she is very skillful and has a number of force feats to add to her saber use, making her a deadly opponent to any rank that deems themselves to be her equal. She is a trained killer, but does have compassion where it is needed, unlike Ophelia. Between them, Taranae and Ophelia are like good cop, bad cop. The worst you could ever do is anger Taranae beyond reasoning - you DON’T want both your CO and XO playing bad cop, trust me on this…

Beyond all, have fun, participate and only do what you can - RL always comes first. The competitions and such are there for your enjoyment and are not mandatory, but any you do take part in will net you awards and help the Clan and House. You will ascend the ranks quickly as you attain more awards for participation, but everything should be taken in moderation. Now get out there and kick some!

The Disciples of Dreypa:

The Battleteam is named after Remulus Dreypa, a great Sith Warrior who was so epic he managed to unleash not one, but three Sith Leviathans. I won’t go into his full backstory as it’s found on wookiepedia here:

Remulus Dreypa

The Battleteam has been set up to train and guide new Journeyman through the beginning stages of their time in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood and Clan Plagueis. I will be acting as your instructor and Battleteam leader, with Taranae as my XO. The goal is we will help you reach your full potential by achieving the rank of Dark Jedi Knight and providing a fun friendly atmosphere for you to enjoy the club in.

In character we will be acting as a Training Academy. You will undergo fictional trials, develop your skills and knowledge and by the time you have achieved Dark Jedi Knight you will be thoroughly prepared IC for the trials and tasks the Clan presents to you. This however will not be a walk in the park as the tasks you will overcome will test your character at every step and punishment will be severe should failure be an outcome.

Saying that on a whole you have total control over how your character develops should you so wish to have him/her spend every day in the library reading books and then going out to develop force powers in the training area then feel free. Just attempt to imagine the most severe training exercises possible, like man eating books!...or training droids that are set a level above you. Yes that makes more sense.

Allegiance

This Fiction competition is based around your opening time in the Battleteam and your own opening trial to swear and prove fealty to the Clan. I have given you a lot of freedom in this one, though please remember you are all in training so keep it smart and within the limits of what your character could do.

Emblem of Dread

This Graphical comp is based around designing the Disciples of Dreypa an Emblem. The Emblem is usually displayed on the Wiki page and the winning entrant will have his name attached to the Battleteam for all time.
