We are the Champions

The Dinaari vs. Ektrosis finished up last week, and we have come out victorious! It was a fun little competition, so I won’t put a ton of stock in it, but I am happy to see that many of you came out and really pushed us to the top. We had the top 2 individual placers in Raist and Cat, while also winning each individual round.

Again, thank you to everyone who participated as well as to Zoron and Armags for putting it together for us.

Kicking Ass and Taking Names: Part Two

Although it was not too long ago that we celebrated our victory in Fading Light, we need to put that all behind us and re-focus. The Deputy Grand Master has released information on the next Great Jedi War. The GJW should begin January 9th and will last a month. It will be split into 2 rounds with similar events occurring in each round, as well as a few events that will run the entire length of the competition.

Fading Light was just the beginning for us. The GJW is our true test, and I know we have both the skill and the drive to be at the top of the club. The beginnings of the plot are also being released, with Taldryan playing a large role, so check out the Fiction Updates.

Activity you say?

Unfortunately, it’s been pretty quiet around here lately, outside of what I’ve already mentioned above. December is always a slow time for everyone, and we didn’t want to throw a ton of stuff at everyone after pushing you all during Fading Light.

Also, apologies for not getting a report out for awhile. After roughly 13-straight weeks of reports, Zoron and I had our real lives get super-busy at the same time, so we focused on that rather than try to throw together a crappy report. However, we have been keeping everyone in the loop of anything happening during that time, so hopefully nothing really slipped by anyone

I’m On a Boat

I will be on vacation from Dec. 27th until Jan. 3rd. During that time I will have, at best, limited internet connection. Most likely the only internet I will have is whatever wifi there is when I’m at the airport. Otherwise I should be completely offline.

During that time, Zoron and Raist are more than capable of holding things down. If you are going to burn everything to the ground, please do so responsibly and try not to have too much collateral damage.

So, what’s been happening lately (outside of zomgwtfGJW)? Well, first off, don’t cheat, exploit or be a dick when gaming. Seriously. You all know how to read and for the most part understand what you read. When you read a set of rules, you generally know what the rule means. If you actively try to find ways around a rule for personal gain? Even if it’s not “technically” against the explicit wording of the rules? Yeah, you’re going to get smacked. If you ever have questions on rules and such, ask someone in Taldryan and we’d be happy to explain things further

There was some more general gaming news that came out, as well as a forum post up asking for your opinion on some of the Tier 2 games.

Aaaaand...that is basically the week in the DB. GJW and Gaming. Oh, Herald-Style-Hanukkah should be starting Christmas Day. I will let you figure out the irony of it all :P
