Things have been a little slow around here. We have a bunch of things in the pipeline, along with many of you wanting to run your own competitions. The issue is that things are a bit large-scale and we’d prefer to get some momentum going rather than starting/stopping all the time. I think that with the next Vendetta we can get things started earlier, as much of the competition won’t involve the bulk of us, especially in later rounds.

However, there’s a lot of other background work that needs doing, especially on the wiki side of things. If interested just let me or one of the other Summit know! If it’s military-oriented then Yacks is the man to talk to, but if you want to do something Ekky-related than come to Quejo and myself and we’ll get you set up.

I would like us all to welcome the newest member of the House, Jango! He joined the House while I was on vacation, so please give him a proper Ektrosis welcome!

April 25th is soon!

As has been mentioned in many reports, the next round of the Vendetta is almost here. According to the last DGM report, the “soft” date was April 25th (this Friday). Now, I haven’t heard anything one way or another, so I’ll assume it’s still happening unless told otherwise. What does this mean to you? Get qualified!

With the ACC being the event for this round, you must be qualified to participate. We only have six people currently qualified in the House, and I know we can do better. There are a number of names I see who are not yet qualified, but should be. Not going to name names, but I will come after you :P To qualify you will need to pass two ACC Courses located in the Shadow Academy. One is quite simple, while the other will require you to do some actual writing.

If anyone is having trouble with the ACC, then please don’t hesitate to ask. There are a lot of people in this House who know their way around the ACC, as do plenty of others in the Clan. Don’t be shy!

Pew Pew Motherf*#%er

There was a recent news item posted by the Fist detailing a free-to-play space simulation called Star Conflict. I have not yet had a chance to play it, but I have downloaded it through Steam and just need to start it up. Anything space related gets my attention, so hopefully I’ll have a chance soon to try it out. If you have time, get out there and see how it plays and let us know how it goes!

Wide World of DB

So, what’s been going around the DB this week? Well, the new Prestige calculations have been rolled out, so if you haven’t checked your Prestige numbers in awhile then I suggest you do so now.

A new Teamspeak server has been set-up for DB use, so if you enjoy that sort of thing then check it out. Keeping with some gaming news, congrats to Dru on coming in second for March Gorefest!

The new Recruitment Tribune has put out a report that outlines some of his plans, as well as catches us up to the various social media sites we’re on. If you’re up on the Twitters and Facebooks, then check out the DB pages and get the word out!

Do you like going to Star Wars conventions? Do you like meeting DB members? If you said yes to both, I shall itroduce you to Howie! Also, you should check out the Star Wars Celebration planning that is currently going on for next year. Hit up the news item to grab more information.

The Character Sheet Approval Guidelines have been released. I strongly suggest everyone check it out, so that their character sheets are not remanded too often!

Lastly, if you have a Disney Store near you on May the 4th then go visit it!. You may be able to pick up some unique items that day (I’ll be checking it out myself, methinks).
