"So. My men tell me you're an intruder. Is that correct?"
The droid's dented head twisted in its socket. One eye was lit while the other was not, and it winked out more often than not. The voice emanating from the thing was broken and crackled with static so badly that it was difficult to make out the words. As soon as Hades spoke, the two words it began repeating were clear enough.
"M..master....H..h.Hades..."
"What is that... thing? How does it know me?"
"The droid brought me here." The girl's voice was cautious, but steady. It betrayed no fear. "He says he knows you. I don't know how. He's looking for someone named Seen, or Skyne, or something. I can't remember."
"What happened to it? It looks like it got stomped on by a bantha."

Greetings Tarenti!
It has been far too long since my last report, but after a round of illness and a couple weeks of vacation I'm back in action and ready to rock! I'm really excited for this next GJW because Tarentum is in a better position today than it has been in for years. We've got a solid leadership team and a great set of active, enthusiastic and talented people to participate. Get ready for a big spike in communication over the next few days as we gear up for war!
Speaking of communication, our group on WhatsApp has been doing really well. There is a lot of good conversation on there and I often find it easier than getting on IRC. I know IRC can seem pretty quiet sometimes, so if you have a smartphone but aren't on WhatsApp yet I urge you to consider it. Just email Hades or me with your mobile phone number and we can add you to the group. It's also a good replacement for texts, if you're on a limited texting plan.
Just as a preventative side note, I'd appreciate if we could keep the WhatsApp group a little cleaner than IRC in terms of images and links. By default the WhatsApp client not only shows images without asking, but saves them to your phone. I really want to avoid anyone getting in trouble at work or with their significant other over the wrong picture sent at the wrong time. Thanks.
GJW. The Great Jedi War. If you haven't been keeping up with Pravus' fiction updates, do take the time to go read them. The story is good, and it's going to be important to know what's going on if you want to take part in the competitions. GJWs are one of the best times to earn big awards and promotions, and they're one of the best times to compete against folks from the other units. If we band together, stay organized and work as hard as we can, we can do great things!
The first half of the event runs from January 9th to the 23rd. The second half runs from January 26th to February 9th. There will be the usual mix of events in each half: Fiction, Graphics, Gaming and Puzzle. There will also be Run-On, Multimedia and Battleplan events that span both halves of the GJW. We've got an email thread where we're working out which teams everyone wants to be on, so be sure and speak up if you plan to participate!
Since my last report, Magik made his way from Initiate to Guardian and Maxwell Venturi joined and made it to Novice. Great work fellas!
Since my last report, you guys earned an innumerable number of CFs, CIs and crescents. Most notably Jabis got 2 PoBs, Jalen got 3 PoBs, Egregious got 6 PoBs, and Aeternus got 6 PoBs! Also, Jalen got a diamond crescent! Those are tough to come by!
Since my last report, Egregious got a Dark Cross and Farrin got a little thing called a Sapphire Blade. Outstanding work, guys!
Our roster is down a little due to a couple recent AWOLs, but our numbers have been holding relatively steady over the past couple of months. All in all I think we're in a pretty strong position for the GJW.
