Galeres Report #1
Greetings, Gal pals! Welcome to my first report as your Quaestor. I’m excited to work with Ninj to continue the work Braecen strived so hard for. I want to thank him for being such a stellar leader. He has left big shoes to fill. Let’s get on with the fun.

Introduction
My name is Ernordeth Puer-Irae. Ernordeth is a slur for earn your death and Puer-Irae is a translation for child of the wrath. I was a member of the Brotherhood off and on from 2004-2007, back when there was a dark jedi with a santa hat and Christmas lights on his arms sprawled out on the splash page, and Tarentum was where I lived. I rejoined the Brotherhood with my new dossier about 3 years ago and have spent the first 5 months in Tarentum. I served as Aedile for a little over 3 months before Tarentum was reclanned and I was the Wiki Docent within the Shadow Academy where I earned my Dark Maven of Service and Magistrate to the FIST for about 2 years before getting promoted to Praetor where I’ve been since. I’ve also served as Quaestor of Qel-Droma for nearly a year, Aedile of Galeres, ACC Judge, Magistrate to the Grand Master and a member of the Recruitment Team. I have a passion in everything I do to excel and strive for greatness. I'm excited to serve you all. I think every aspect of this club is important and am looking to affect each area. I love gaming, I love our units, the Shadow Academy, the ACC, etc. In real life, my name is Jeff and I live in Boise, Idaho. I previously lived in Las Vegas for over half of my life. I’ve worked at Arby’s, been a manager at Little Caesar’s, worked as a janitor, and graded phone calls for a Medicare call center. I’ve also worked for Wells Fargo, and DirecTV (customer service, tech service, and customer retention), and a trainer for an Obamacare enrollment call center. Though, currently I take online classes and watch my daughter. I have an open door policy and am here for all of you no matter what it's about. Even if it's real life and you just need to vent I'm here.
Just Do It
This report I wanted to bring something up to all of you. “Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game” That’s an important quote, but it’s really the secret to success in competitions and this club. Especially in the Journeyman and lower-Equite ranks just showing up to participate is one of the most important things. Monty didn’t say “Do Work, Son” for no reason. Howie, our resident panda, doesn’t say “Do ALL the things” for no reason. We didn’t become ArcOWNa without our members showing up and helping. At the top of this text is a poorly designed graphic I made on my own in 15-20 minutes (maybe less?) for a competition. Is it amazing? No. Did it make you laugh, because it’s so bad? Yes. Was this an award winning graphic? Yes. I am one of two participants in that competition and so simply showing up earned me another placement, another crescent, and more credits once again. This is not to say you shouldn’t work hard for your best submissions. This is not to say that the only way you can place is for 1 other person to compete. This is saying you cannot place if you do not participate. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Show up and just do it.
