Happy New Years my Plagueins! Plagueisites? Whichever, you’re all great. So hopefully you all had some wonderful holidays, hopefully you’re enjoying your weather, whether it’s just sucky and icy like mine, or you live in Cali and I get to be jealous of you forever.

I’m excited to start the new year, and I hope you are as well. Lots of people do New Years resolutions for themselves, and I have a few for myself here in the DJB. I’ve got some things I want to do better, help make better content for you lovelies, and helping you all to be the best you can be. So help me help you, comment below if there are things that you would like to see more of, within reasonable bounds, and I’ll do my best to help get that there for you. Stuffs to Know

• PLA CON Report - Here we have all the results of the Plagueis Winter Trials. Congratulations to our winners and thank-you to all that participated, we couldn’t have done it without you.

• HRLD Report - For those of you who are interested in the arts, and wanting to try your hand at leadership, there is a Magistrate spot open in the Herald office, they’re looking for applicants, go apply! Make us proud

• Justicar Report - Jac has chosen his new Hands of Justice for the year, go and congratulate them, and thank our previous hands for their service.

• Drac Report - Drac’s second part report on some changes to everyones favorite CoF game, Pazaak. If you play, you’ll definitely want to read the changes.

• Laren’s Report Laren’s January report, go read, go comment, I’m sure it’s great! (I totally read it already >_>)

Some Things to Do

So as of right now, our Clan is taking a little bit of a break from the big competitions. You guys did a good job, and you’ve earned a little break from us. Fret not though, we will have more content in the near future. Be prepared!

Now for some actual things to do:

• Manifest Destiny - Laren touched more on this in his report but I highly recommend that you go check it out, put down a post, let us know how you’re doing IC.

• ACC - Check out the ACC, I waited for almost a week here with an open challenge to get someone to fight. I think it’s an awesome place to get direct feedback on your writing. Do it, fight me.

• Galaxy of Heroes - This is a fun competition for all you mobile gamers, which I just rediscovered. Good way to get some Clusters if you’re good enough!

• Q1 Gaming - For those of you more into the traditional style of games, our beautiful Fist has created some fun competitions, get some Crescents!

• Traditions - For you looking for a fiction competition, here’s a short one for the New Year.

Equites

So I wanted to take a quick minute or two to talk to some of our senior members, if some of our younger members get something out of this, that’s great too!

I’ve had a few months now to get to know how Plagueis runs, how we tick, and what works. One thing that I’ve noticed lately is that we’ve started to lose some of our regular members, people who were a big presence when I first joined the DJB about a year ago, and I don’t think we’ve gained as many new members as those that we lost. Now we have lots of currently active members who are doing lots of things, but I want to see a House and a Clan that has even more active members, and just more members in general. Our Summit is constantly brainstorming on how to see this happen, but we could use your help.

Now what I’m asking is for you guys to take a little bit of time and share the DJB with your friends. We have lots of great things to do here, between gaming, fiction and just a general sense of community. Invite those that you think would enjoy being here, we don’t bite (usually).

Now besides inviting new members to Plagueis, we also want to bring back those that we haven’t seen for a while. If you have friends you haven’t seen in a bit, send them a Telegram message, send them an email. Let’s remind them why they liked being here in the first place, and why they should come back. We’re the Dark Side, tell them we have cookies.

Happy New Years again to all the lovelies, and keep being awesome. Make a New Years resolution to be great, don’t worry, I’ll wait. Also, hopefully all of you have seen Rogue One. The ban on spoilers is now lifted, but still, be respectful to those who haven’t seen it.
