Hoth QUA Report V3 R4 - A Farewell and a new House Fiction

Introduction — My Final House Hoth Report
Hello House Hoth.
As the title says, unfortunately this will be my last report for my third term as the Quaestor of House Hoth. I know that Corinna Margarin will be an awesome Quaestrix when she takes over for me shortly after this report is published. I would like to congratulate her and wish her the best in her new role of leading the Best House in the DJB. I wholeheartedly give her all my support in seeing the next House storyline come to fruition.
I also want to thank Jon Silvon and Aurelis Phaelor for working together with Corinna and me on creating what I hope to be one of our best Clan storylines. I will look forward to seeing it launch and being able to participate as a regular member. I promise not to spoil anything about our plans, LOL.
I had many plans for the future of not only Hoth, but the Clan as well. I hope that some still may come to pass. I was looking forward to running an Evil Dead-inspired Halloween event, and more importantly, running the 10th anniversary Scimitar of Hoth Comps in 2027. (Yep, our humble comp turns 10 next year!) I was starting to plan a year-long celebration.
Anyway, before I go, I know I have been promising a new House fiction. Below, you will find Part 1 of that fiction. The plan is still to release Part 2 when Corrina releases a report when the next House Event starts, and the final part shortly after. Corinna will let you all know actual release dates as we go.
Fiction Part 1 of 3
Part 1 - Welcome Back to Solyiat!
House Hoth Headquarters Trepus, Solyiat T-plus-16 hours since Omega Protocol Activation
The doors to Hoth’s command and control center remained in the open position due to the sheer number of people coming and going. Security personnel relaying orders, stewards bearing pitchers of caf, and air traffic controllers tasked with ensuring the safe passage of a fleet's worth of ships had jiggled the handle and slammed it shut so much that an angry male voice shouted to prop it open.
The air traffic controllers were especially stressed. The air bosses had each of them on a strict two-hour-on, one-hour-off schedule to help prevent burnout and fatigue. The slightest mistake could cost many lives, and everyone in the room knew it; the transfer station was not meant to handle this much traffic.
This would be a problem for a normal spaceport, but Hoth staff was highly trained and therefore used to such intensity. Aside from a couple of near hits, both the pilots and tower were working better than he could hope. Standing in the back of the room, Quaestor Edgar Drachen said nothing after his terse command about the door. He just glanced and nodded to anyone he made eye contact with.
He considered offering a quick pep talk or encouraging message, but the staff was so concentrated he just left word with the assistant air boss, whom he had dubbed “the Mini Boss,” to inform him when the new aedile had landed and boarded the maglev train to the main base. Mini Boss acknowledged the order, declaring her transport was due to land in 20 minutes or so.
“Thank you and keep up the good work. Get everyone down safely, and for now I will get out of your way.” Again giving a quick nod to the air boss, the middle-aged Jedi left the room to inspect the troops as they arrived. The amount of men and materiel coming in made for a logistical nightmare. People, their gear, equipment, and supplies all had to be organized and stored as quickly as possible for the coming event…
