Telegram Roleplay Sessions!

This is a brand NEW thing we’re doing starting 6 January 2019. Yes, that means tomorrow, this thing kicks off for the first time EVAR! While it won’t be eligible for any Clusters, it’s a fun way for everyone to get some character-writing time in while joking on the side about it. The prompts will be posted in Spectre Cell chat on Sunday mornings, that way it’s 1) a weekend day and 2) you have all day to have fun with it, and should help even folks in far-flung time zones participate. We hope you enjoy!

Here’s your rules and guidelines to make this easy for everyone:

• Your arbiters for this are the House Summit, i.e. me and Skar (or Skar and I, if you prefer that grammar). If there is an issue, question, or concern, let us know and we’ll get it sorted post-haste.
• Start your message with Name to designate it’s an RP message. SC chat is still a general chat for the Battleteam members, so use this tagging method to let everyone know it’s separate from the out-of-character conversation. This also works if you’re using multiple characters.
• You only have control of your character. Try not to write other people’s characters doing anything (major) without their author’s permission.
• No walls of text. Three to five sentences max is a good guideline. Not sure? As us.
• If any situation has an unsure outcome, we have an app for that. Type /roll 1d10 into the chatbox. If it’s skill-based, your character sheet comes into play (so someone with +3 in Blasters will get 3 added to their roll). This of course doesn’t mean that if you do this in a fight, you automatically win; though you might gain an advantage in the particular part of the fight you’re in.

• Ends 12 Jan - Destiny 2 - Gambit Trials ongoing for about another week. Now available on PC too, if you download Blizzard’s Battle.net.
• Ends 16 Jan - Selen Development Project, or at least one of its many parts, ends soon. You know the drill by now. Help Arcona develop its fictional holdings and territory.
• Ends 17 Jan - Fancy disguise is available for you to design some (wacky) New Years party attire for yours or someone else’s character(s).
• Ends 31 Jan - DJB Speed Dating is a cooperative fiction comp. You wanna speed-date someone fictionally in the DB? Here’s your chance.

Final Notes

Well, we come to the final piece of the report once again. This month’s comes after two members of the House leave us. Aldaric left last month for leadership opportunities in Clan Taldryan, where I’m sure he’s filling their inboxes now with his Shadow Academy prowess. More recently, Uji (aka El Log) left Galeres for our sister House, Qel-Droma, to get some fresh air and see what “the other side” has to offer. Drugs. That’s what they have, kids, and as you all know: drugs are bad, m’kay.
