Admin Notes

Not gonna lie folks. The Q is still sick as a massif on Hoth, as pictured here, and Ori is taking a bunch of punches instead of doing the usual kicky business. So this will be a relatively short report overall. We have just under a week left on the big Clan event, so if you’re like Q and have been trudging through one or two remaining comps, now’s the time to knuckle down and kick all of the patoot.

Things to look forward to though. Galeres has a LOT of credits right now, so we’re looking at getting a few things to round everything out in our Possessions. If you have any specific ideas, please e-mail them to me and Ori (because e-mail is a lot easier to reference than a Discord message) with the item, a link to it on the store page, and your reasoning. If you do a bunch of items, a more generic “why” is acceptable rather than going line-by-line.

Event Calendar

Like we said above — and will remind you of again — there’s a Clan event that’s ongoing and you should totally go do that thing. If you’re new, it’s a fantastic way to dive head-first into the ongoing Arcona plotline involving the once-”gods” of Selen (the capital world of the Clan and the Dajorra System). If you’re not new, well then, how else are you going to engrave your name into the annals (note the two Ns there) of Arconan history?

That said, once that’s done, there’s the matter of Eldar…

There will be a full synopsis and write-up with the report next month, along with some House fiction updates and (if Q can get off her butt and do some work) some wiki updates too. The short version though is that the situation on Eldar — House Galeres’ pet project for the last year-and-some-change — is in a precarious position. While the Keadeans plot their own power consolidation, with or without Galerian aid, the Sardinian insurgency has only grown in strength. What might have been a minor issue before has gone unchecked, and now may rear its ugly head as full-on conflict.

We always love to put some buffer space between events, so expect this bad boy to drop on you somewhere between mid-March and the beginning of April.

News

• First, as always, some love to our sister House’s report for the month.
• The Justicar has some spots open and gives some fine chat-friendly advice.
• Want some Discord RP-channel know-how? See it here from the resident Exarch-kun.
• The latest chapter drop in the club-wide plot where they introduce yet another faction/enemy without tying up any of the previous loose ends. Next we’ll have a Mother of Krayt-dragons or something in this Martinesque menagerie of factions.

• I for one would like to know what plans, if any, Galeres has of shoring up its Eldarian defenses now that we have actual stuff to put on our holdings?

Q: Eldarian defenses? Uhh… well, I guess we could reoccupy the ol’ Kurs’kranak (wiki update pending) and purchase something accordingly for that. It’s about the closest thing we got there, and our butts aren’t even technically in that seat at the moment.

S: I’m all for instituting a more definitive occupation of the planet. Sera would all be for constructing some new bases meshed in with the Eldarian population, such as one of these babies, though an orbital station from which we could rapidly deploy more conventional forces than the AEF Rangers already in the field would probably be a smurt-murve as well. Many options, many credits, yes-yes.

• Also, any valentine’s plans? I see Q has already dressed up for the color of the season!

Q: For the eighteenhundredth time: that’s. my. skin. Schutta.

S: Sera is planning to be scantily clad. As per usual, of course. I, on the other hand, will be doing homework, as the 14th is a Monday.

• Also-also, how many Caxquettes have you kicked in the face (with a foot or blaster, dealer’s choice) thus far in Tunca?

Q: Working on it.

S: Ear-splitting screeches and ghastly crunches echoing in distance

Mex (welcome!) asks…

• What’s your favorite droid? Why is it a battle droid?

Q: Uhh… Well, I guess my R3 is a battle droid? I mean… it’s used the little leg jets to tackle people before. Shock prod does good work too. Yeah, Remee’s good droid.

S: Sera is actually particularly fond of battle droids! She used to utilize one for a sparring-partner, sort of a mirror-move bot that was easily repairable. Sadly, he met his demise in a hacking attack a year or so back, and has yet to been replaced by something shiny and chrome.
