The March event is over, credits are disbursed, and we now get to move on with our lives. BTL apps are also over-and-done with, so if you procrastinated, better luck next time. Lots of announcements and the like coming down the tubes in this one kids! So hold onto your pants and watch out for Krayt dragons (looking at you Satsi); this one’s gonna be bumpy.

House Fiction Update

Quaestor’s Office
Fort Blindshot, Selen

“I bet Kord got a kick out of the last report,” Qyreia chuckled, reading over her latest manifesto.

Sergeant Jelenko, the Quaestor’s DDF adjutant, shrugged her shoulders. “Why’s that?”

Xenna, lingering in the corner, grinned micheviously. “Something about Satsi and a Krayt dragon?”

The Zeltron winked and finger-gunned at the Force user. “That’s the one. I’m sad that I missed it. The idea of a giant lizard flopping around on top of her is just… pfft, too funny. Ignoring all the injuries I had to call in, that is: her, Grot, and Alara.”

“And Skar walked away with a Krayt pearl.”

Jelenko looked up from her work. “You all did whatnow?”

“Then there was the shopping trip to Nar Shadda,” Xenna continued, ignoring the Selenian soldier. “Not much to speak of other than Satsi’s kid and Skar having fun, much to Satsi’s chagrin.”

“Who is this chick you keep mentioning?”

A New Battleteam Leader

Grot has stepped down. While I still need to work out the administrative kinks on the site, as of today, Scarlett Kelrune (aka Juliana, or Juli) is the new Battleteam Leader of Spectre Cell. She’ll go through a brief handover period with our lesser-murderlizard (because Skar was the one to kill that Krayt dragon). But don’t let me say it all. Juli has some words for you guys as well…

Hey guys and gals! Yup, my rise to Queen of all Things has finally begun! Muahahaha! But for reals, I'm so excited to be the new Spectre Cell BTL! I'm gonna do my best to make sure everyone has a bunch of fun, I got lots planned already! But we'll have to wait until my first report before we start breaking things down. Until then I just wanna thank Q and Skar for giving me this opportunity, and I hope you all enjoy the ride. <3

A New Battleteam Structure

This bit is a little more up-in-the-air at the moment, but it bears mentioning so you cats aren’t surprised later on. There is currently discussion in the Summit (Clan, not just House) concerning how people are entered into the Battleteams. Of late, it has been an automatic insertion upon joining a House in Arcona. That is about to change.

Nothing is yet set in stone as to how the new system will definitively work. The rough cut right now is that people not already in a Battleteam will start within the House and, with enough activity and some sort of application process, then be admitted into a Battleteam. This is to renew that esprit de corps that is supposed to make the BTs special. More to follow as the details get hammered out and solidified. Feel free to ask questions or provide input!

Karkin’ Victory!

Yep. We won the thing, if only by a slim margin. In case you missed the report about the March event ending, well, I just left you a handy little link. Lots of details in the sauce there, but suffice to say, there was some solid participation from you all. Grot and Satsi led the way, while Scarlett, Kris, and Skar pulled in several placements along the way. I’m proud of you guys for coming out and joining in the fray. Thank you.

What’s that mean for us? About 642,000 Credits is what it means. Now that the Houses are being furnished with some material wealth, we have the option to start buying stuff for Galeres and its members. This is still in discussion — do we want units, or individual goodies, or both — but for the moment the credits will sit idle. Most of the toys y’all want are well beyond our budget anyway. Seriously, does momma Q have to teach you lot financial responsibility?

Expect awards for the event to start trickling out over the course of the week. Again, thank you all. Keep it up and you might even get Q to say “Arcona invicta” someday, maybe.
