Proconsul Report: Balancing The Book Results

Collective Data Point
Deep Space, Kessel Sector
The trooper backed away, teeth gritted and blaster held firmly in hand, spitting red fire towards the people marching down the narrow corridor at him. Behind him, a high-security door blocked his retreat, and he knew it had to be the filthy Jedi’s goal.
“Blast you!” he screamed in defiance as bolt after the bolt was knocked aside by a yellow lightsaber, wielded by an annoyed looking Twi’lek. A flash of movement was his only warning of the length of a whip that snaked past the woman and around his neck, a quick jerk bringing him to his knees. A tall, dark haired woman stepped out from behind Tali, her heels clicking ominously against the decking as she strutted towards the man, who was busy trying to unwrap the whip from his throat. The woman pulled the length taut, causing him to choke, while another man stepped up and kick the blaster away before inspecting the door.
“Some kind of retinal scanner.”
“Unsurprising, Magik, do ve have a way through it?”
Alaisy gave Tali Sroka a smile, before twisting the handle of her whip and pivoting to use her leg to slam the Collective trooper’s face into the panel. A beep was heard from the scanner, and the door slid open.
“I suppose that vorks too, Alaisy.”
“My pleasure.”
Read the Conclusion of Balancing the Books!
Welcome, Arconans.
Balancing the Books has concluded and we have our final results, a fictional update, top placements, credits and more excitement in store!
First, before I dive into the numbers, I would like to thank each and every member who participated in this event.
For Balancing the Books, we had 25 individual participants of Arcona (50% of the Clan) participate over the course of the event, with 177 individual entries across 16 competitions, and over half of the competitions exceeding 10 entries to earn higher tier Crescents.
To provide some comparison: during roughly the same timeframe there was a co-operative event between two other Clans. Clan Naga Sadow and Plagueis held the Operations: Antiquity event. With the participation of two of our fellow Clans, they accumulated 32 individual participants (40% of both Clans), across 24 competitions, that generated 245 individual entries.
I am extremely proud of our level of activity and participation, that as a single Clan we rivaled the activity of two of our fellow Clans outside of a Vendetta or Great Jedi War. Each and every one of you should take pride in that.

Arcona’s March Event - Balancing the Books: Results
Individual Participation: Congratulations to our top 3!

- 1st Place: Privateer Grot
- 2nd Place: Corsair Qyreia Arronen
- 3rd Place: Hunter Alaisy Tir’eivra
These three members not only submitted to every bin in the competition but set themselves apart with their individual placements throughout the event. For their efforts and contributions, they have earned the following bonuses for their Houses!
- Grot: has earned Galeres a bonus of 50,000 credits
- Qyreia: has earned Galeres a bonus of 30,000 credits
- Alaisy: has earned Qel-Droma a bonus of 20,000 credits
House Results: Congratulations to both Houses!
- House Galeres: 1st Place with 293 participation points
- House Qel-Droma: 2nd Place with 285.25 participation points
An incredible performance by both Houses! Literally, the difference of a SINGLE submission could have changed the results of the competition. With that being said, Kordath and I agreed that the original amounts (250,000/150,000 respectively) simply were not enough to reflect the efforts of both Houses.
With that being said we have chosen to increase the awards to:
- House Galeres - 300,000 for 1st place with an additional 80,000 in bonuses!
- House Qel-Droma - 250,00 for 2nd place with an additional 30,000 in bonuses!

#AskTheLog
Grot Asks: #askthelog When will you git gud skrub?
Answer: Obviously not as quickly as you with six 1st place achievements!
Xenna Asks: #AskTheLog I found your diary at the Arcona library, why is it wet and where can I return it?
Answer: Preferably burn it, tear it apart, do as you will with it. I try to destroy the thing constantly and it finds it’s way back.
Rhylance Asks: #AskTheLog, What's Ujis thoughts on the summit running Port Ol'val?
Answer: Uji has a level of respect for all three members of Qel-Droma’s summit. He remains wary of each of them, however. Rhylance’s counsel is heard and held in high regard, Lucine has been proving herself more and more as both Aedile and head of the DIA with Leeadra maintaining control of Void-Breaker.
Things I Learned From This Event
I placed an extremely high emphasis on Participation for this event and while I still feel this is the correct method. I feel as though there should have been an additional opportunity based on Placements.
Having the competitions submitted in a timely manner, opening fictions and reports ready is integral to the success of an event. I would strongly encourage any future competition runner to aim for a 5-7 day window to have everything prepared and submitted prior to the start of the event.
Work with your Summit members to properly discuss competitions and events, get them out front and center of your members. Encourage everyone participating to talk about the events they are doing, to provide ideas for others.

Congratulations, all! I hope everyone had fun participating in this event! It was a blast and can't wait for the next Grays to the winners and to Gal!
Awesome report and congratulations to House Galeres, Qyreia and Grot! Loved reading the fiction too, especially happy to see elements of the GFX comp coming into it as well, I didn't expect that.
Nuuu my booze!
