House Imperium Report - July 2016
Introductions
Greetings Imperialists and welcome to the July edition of the House Imperium report! The Feud is finally underway, new members have joined the House, and people have done some really cool things. It’s always a great feeling see everything that hits my inbox. Keep it coming and do all the things!
Before I jump right into it, I have some special introductions. The House has a few new members. Everyone welcome Caesar and Zero Grayson! Imperium is glad to have you and I personally look forward to helping both of you thrive.
House Projects
FEUD: Shattered Ties
The FEUD is here. Actually it’s already halfway done! I’ve pulled together a great summary to help everyone decide what they’d like to do, but first I’d like to cover a few things. First, focus on high quality submissions. I charge everyone to place as high as they can in the competitions of their choice. Second, don’t subscribe to the trivia competition until you are ready to sit down and input your answers right away. The timer starts when you hit subscribe. Third, write your fiction/run-on early on. Proofing takes the longest and then you need time to fix it afterwards. Write early and edit along the way. Lastly, do your very best and have fun.
Competitions Ending on 7/18/16 (Only Two Days Left):
- Interlude: For Those About to Dominate: A simple competition where you make up a Feud playlist of at least 10 songs. This will be graded on originality, context, and the overall effect. Give this one a try.
Competitions Ending on 8/01/16:
Wolves At The Door: Battle plans! Have you ever played general or wanted to? Then this month long competition is for you. You can team up or go solo, but essentially you lay out your battle plan. The competition page has all the info you need to get you started. I think this will be a lot of fun for the house.
The Chronicler: Make at minimum a 30 second multimedia video. You can also team up for this event or go solo. Up to you really. Give this one a shot or ask an existing team if they need any voice help. :)
Shattered Ties Run-on: This a writing event that requires you to team up in groups of at a minimum 3 members. You are writing a story with your team essentially. Consider it like a fiction but your teammates help you out so you don’t have to write the whole thing. It’s also a lot of fun. Just don’t put this off too long and remember that in order for an entry to count each member has to write 2 posts. Now, the minimum word limit is one 250 words so that should be very easy. Let us know if you want in and don’t have a team yet!
A Brief Respite: Another 1v1 gaming competition for tier 2 games. Note, this does not include pazaak. All the main games are still there though. Scoring is based on PvP score. This should be an easy one for us.
Gone in 60 Seconds: A fiction competition continuing your story from Phase 1. Minimum of 500 words. Take a look at the prompt and write some awesome action scenes with feelings.
Making a Stand: Another graphics competition. Take a look as it doesn’t have to involved drawing people, which are usually a lot harder for those new to drawing.
The Sting of Betrayal: Poetry strikes again! Yes, poetry. But! You can do it. I know you can. Only 15 lines required and Haiku’s are acceptable. Check out the haiku guide here.
The Shiny Baubles: Trivia! Once you subscribe the timer starts. DON’T SUBSCRIBE UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO INPUT ANSWERS. Give this one a go. Again, the wiki is your friend.
Shattered Memes: The title tells us everything. Do you like memes? Do you like to create them? If so, this one is for you. Entry is graded on content and humor.

CSP JA Academy
This is on hold until the Feud is over, but rest assured they will be reconvened afterwards. Until then, I still offer training to anyone in the clan. Ad-hoc lessons are still being accepted. I train anyone who is willing to learn. :)
Shadow Guard
Shadow Guard is doing well in the Feud so far, setting a good example for the rest of the House. I don’t know the results of part one yet, but it is my hope we see lots of high placements. It’s members have also taken a stab at the ACC, which makes me very happy. Keep it up! Moving forward, remember that you are all one unit. Help each other out. Help everyone do the best they can. If someone hasn’t participated in a Feud competition yet, then ask them for a gaming match. The more the merrier. You go where others fear to tread. You are Shadow Guard!

Imperial Activity
The Feud churns onward and Imperium is doing its best. Before we get into the highlights, I’d like to thank everyone who has participated so far. Many of us have done almost all of the competitions (or a healthy subset) and it’s absolutely wonderful to see! In order of highest competition count I’d love to recognize them all here: Lexi, Delak, Dek Rott, Blade, Mune, Landon, Kyo, Dante, and Sparky. A few of you are really close to joining this list so kick it up a notch for the second phase. Free Rancor Tequila on me if we get the last holdouts to make the list! But for now, a few highlights.
Sparky had a stellar month of gaming. He took part in at least 12 gaming competitions and earned a Pendant of Blood. Nice Sparky. Nice.
Dek Rott is not only killing it during this feud but he has achieved a perfect score on the Debate: Argumentation I course. Lawyer Dek Rott in the house!
Landon Cruise is doing a wonderful job hosting gaming competitions. A big thanks to you Landon. Take this as an example that you don’t need to be in a leadership position to create competitions. I encourage everyone to send Lexi and I an email if you have any ideas for competitions you might like to host.
Delak and Mune have taken up the challenge of the ACC. This is not only a great way to develop skills but a lot of fun. Three cheers to Delak and Mune!
Lastly, I want to recognize everybody for your efforts and accomplishments. A few of you didn’t make my list of heavy hitters, but you can do it! You can do all the things! I can’t wait to see what everyone submits to the Feud. If you need any help, grab a fellow member of Imperium or CSP. As always, Lexi and I are available to help you out. :)

Conclusion
Another month gone... Time seems to fly by so fast. I look forward to reading and viewing all of the House’s submissions to the Feud. I recommend everyone take a look after they are publicly viewable. Overall, this is a fun journey and I can’t wait to see the final results! I first joined this House right before our House Feud and with the GJW happening some point after the Clan Feud their will be plenty to do. I look forward to helping everyone be the best they can be.
A couple comments before I wrap this up. First, a bit of a repeat. Continue to include as many fellow clansmen/clanswomen as possible in our exploits. These interconnections will enable us to go super saiyan. I know it can be hard but keep at it! Lastly...

Blade: Don't have it yet. I'll see how long I can hold off, but I have some privacy concerns that might help. I will fend off the hordes!
Lexi: I've had every pokemon game, cards, pogs and I watched the show, up until X&Y came out. I still want them but financial security isn't strong enough for luxuries. But no, I don't have nor want GO as I prefer the original version.
