Introduction

Hello my fellow Murrians! It's been a great 4th for me. Houston was flooded again, but I did the S-M-R-T thing and waited it out. All in all, It was short, but once the water drained we could cook all the meats! Hope you all had a great celebration, and for those of you in England I'm super happy y'all beat Colombia in the World Cup!

Aedile Moment

For this month's moment, I'd like to focus on safety. More specifically car related safety. While I have had cars for about a decade now, I'll be the first to say I still do some pretty derpy things. For instance, Just a few minutes ago I tried to change my tire in my driveway. Bad Idea. Never change a tire on an incline. Your car will slide down, and your jack will break or get pretty beat up in the process. I feel especially bad as I've changed tires countless times and should really know better. For those that were not on telegram, Always make sure your radiator cap is completely cool before removing with a rag. If it's warm, it's still possible that you'll get a shot of hot steam at you. While I avoided a trip to the hospital, some of our fellow Plagueians were not as fortunate this week, so to them I wish a speedy recovery and better fortune next time they have to troubleshoot car issues. For the rest of you, you always have your fellow Plagueians for support. We may be a bunch of goofy nerds, but were always happy to help where we can!

I know I make It sound scary, but Kelly is actually a really really awesome boss. Very caring and easy to get along with. You couldn't ask for a better intro to leadership than working under her supervision. If you've ever considered it, but were nervous or apprehensive, this is the best time to apply.
