Hello Satellites!

This is my first news report in a very long time and, as you can see, there are no graphics. Blame Moro, I have been harassing him non-stop but apparently there's this holiday thing going on. Which I hope you all enjoyed, because now I need graphics! Just kidding. I do hope that you all had a great and restful holiday, that you received some kick-ass presents, and ate some family-cooked food. If you're a loner like me, I hope you enjoyed some peace and serenity.

Most of you probably know who I am. I've been kind of floating around this place for a long time. I used to be a competitive writer and administrator. I also used to just be competitive. Now I'm happy as long as you guys are enjoying some writing and gaming in an attention-grabbing, exciting fictional context. With that said, expect a few minor changes to Daleem. There won't be anything super drastic, and I'll release the fiction separate from reports (since it seems like the most popular answer to report-timing is once a month). If you have anything you've been dying to see or just something you think is cool, PLEASE let me know!

That actually brings me to one of the main things I wanted to talk about, which is community. Let's make sure that we're active on Telegram in the Satele Shan channel, instead of just the COU channel. I know, it seems pretty much the same, but the HSS channel has no DCers or Hothis. It's a nice, quiet place to talk about whatever you would like. You could even talk to Donos and Blade about their galactic crusade as over-friendly space otters and HP printer demons. This is also a question in the survey I mailed out about this because I would really like some input on how we can bolster the communal aspect of our house. So far I've gotten a lot of "I don't know". Think about it! It's just a group brainstorm :) (cereally, ... help! xD).

Survey Data (so far)

67% of respondents prefer TG to email

75% of respondents rate OOC community in HSS as 7+ (I want this to be 100%, so we'll still bolster as much as possible)

50% of respondents say monthly reports are best (25% say weekly and 25% say every two weeks)

58% of respondents say house events should be every two months (the rest are split between every six months and yearly)

You guys love all kinds of competitions, but quick and simple is ahead slightly, so you'll get everything :)

48% of respondents rate HSS fiction as 7+, 42% rate it as middling, and 8% rate it as very bad (this will be addressed, but please please please please talk to me or Jack personally about your ideas... we would LOVE to incorporate them)

41% of respondents want us to slag Daleem until it's unrecognizable. 50% want us to just kind of beat it up, and 8% want us to leave it mostly alone. We'll try to find a way to please everyone, but, again, please PM us on Telegram or shoot us an email if you're interested in specifics. Even if you don't want to do the writing yourself, that's fine. YOU TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT ME TO WRITE, haha. I'll make sure that what you're interested is worked into the greater plot lines of the House and Clan.
