Greetings everyone!

I hope you’ve enjoyed a season of spooky scenes, ghoulish tricks and many sweet treats! Coming up on the final months of the year we’re halfway through this horror season but we’ve still got some more creepy stories and fun in store. Now onto the report, if you can make it out alive…

Recap

Chaos in Tythas City has erupted in the wake of Martial Law. Protests have sprung up everywhere with counter protests fighting for change. What will these changes bring? Prosperity or ruin, something new in its place? We’ll have to wait and see.

Fiction

Vatali Conclave

Voraskel Palace, Kiast

“I would ask the esteemed representative of House Sunrider to begin their statements.” The speaker gave Asani the space, doing some gesture she was sure was some form of polite way to allow her to step forth.

The flying platforms that carried the representatives and their leaders levitated in some way she was sure she would never get used to, too much protocol for her liking, even if she knew the purpose of it was to maintain order.

“I would ask that the congregation of leadership before me to settle, I bring forth tidings that may be favorable to you all. If not favorable at the least acceptable. We have suspects, the Martial Law has worked and may be coming to an end sooner rather than later. We’ve managed to gather enough information to address the dangers that have loomed like a shadow over House Sunrider. While this has a positive outlook, we are still in the process of bringing forth justice.” She stated without delay, the Conclave seemed to move around, waves of whispers echoing, she could make out some faint words here and there but nothing certain.

Giving her datapad a few gentle taps and a motion, an image appeared onto the giant holo display in the amphitheater, allowing the Conclave a view of various images of two subjects, one Ubese the other Weequay. “These are Araz and Ak-Tav, from the information we managed to gather, they are part of a larger group. And in due time they’ll lead us to our real quarry. With this mission successful we’ll be able to finally put an end to the Martial Law and focus on the future of Tythas City. Are there any questions?” She asked the Conclave, some who seemed to be more at ease than when her speech began.

The silence held on for a longer period of time than she would have liked. Some of the assistants in the area began to wonder if something had happened, their faces clearly showing some unease. Although some acknowledged her speech, they felt it brash, full of hubris. “How can we guarantee results?” One member asked glaring down at her while another followed, “ Do you have their location or a method to apprehend them?”

The atmosphere in the room had shifted from pleasant calm to anxious demands “Why has nothing been done up until this point?” “Do you have a timeline of when you might even have these criminals in custody?" This was not how she had planned the situation to settle. She hoped for a clean get away, not a bombardment of questions. “ I would ask for your patience on this matter for a bit longer. We will have justice, but I will not bend or break laws in order to obtain said justice, lest it be contaminated and further divide the people.”

The following day

“I have to give it to our little duo, they make a good reliable target. And provided we can keep using them and their little group as center stage, we should be able to find the real culprits soon enough.” Asani stated, helmet off while she managed to eat some cubed meiloorun and other various fruits.

“Wont they know…” Karasin said softly.

“That it’s an obvious trap” Neil finished the comment to the lagomorph, who seemed more carefree now, helmet resting close by while she continued to dine on her fruity treats, staining her fur an array of colors.

“Well yeah, that’s why it’s great. Nothing better than being a distraction. With the belief that I’m looking in the wrong direction, the real culprits are bound to mess up.”

“That logic seems…” Neil began cautiously.

“Stupid.” Continued his sister. “Acting this way,”

“Will only enrage them if they ever find out.” Niel finished quietly.

“If they find out. All I have to do is look pretty and distracted. If we capture a corrupt few on the way to justice well…that’s good work. Either way, the city prospers.”

House News

I bring incredible tidings friends as we now have a plethora of spacefaring animals joining Sunrider with our very own Seals, Dolot and best Tiger Turel joining the house! Along with our new members I’d also like to say a hearty congratulations to Seals for their Wildcard Appointment . We'll be having some changes and new things stirring within the house, please look forward to these changes and all of the new things in store!

Closing Thoughts

From ghouls with tricks to the events of the season, we’ve had a buzz of activity keeping the clan in high spirits, we couldn’t do any of this without all of your help in making this a fun home for everyone. Please look forward to future holiday comps and celebrations as well. I hope you all have fun and enjoy your time! Remember to pace yourselves as we’re approaching the cooler months of the year. There’s no shame in resting and taking time for yourselves. You can't pour from an empty cup!
