Consul Corner

Well, hello again, Arcona!

It feels like we’ve got quite a bit to talk about this time around.

Today’s a BIG one! GJW XVII results are in, and we’ve also got the biggest overhaul of Arcona’s order of Battle in nearly a decade: Project Raxus.

First, I want to talk about the War. Because apparently winning 4 GJW’s in a row wasn’t enough, and we had to go and make history again. Then we’ll get into Raxus, which is probably the largest military shake-up Arcona has seen in a very long time.

Oh, and there’s one more thing.

The Clan Title is getting its own announcement. I decided it deserves a little more attention than being shoved into the middle of this report, so I’ll be talking about that separately. And there may be a certain Arconan (or a few) receiving the Arconae title.

Maybe.

Who knows?

You’ll have to wait and see. ✂️

Anyways, enough tearing. Let’s begin with the war

GJW XVII Results

I think it is finally time we talk about the big one.

The results of the Great Jedi War XVII were announced back on July 10th, and Arcona came out on top once again. I wanted to wait until we had everything together. The graphics, the rewards, and everything that came with the victory, before giving this the attention it deserved. And honestly? I’m glad we did.

Because we didn’t just win… we won our 5th GJW in a ROW!

With 5,873.45 points, Arcona finished as First Clan of the Brotherhood, ahead of Odan Urr with 5,633.40 points and Taldryan with 3,421.95. That makes this our 8th GJW victory overall, which is honestly a ridiculous thing to be able to say. 5 in a row… 8 in total! And somehow, this Clan keeps finding a way to do it again.

Of course, none of that happens because of one person. It happens because people showed up. 65.3% of the Clan participated across the full event, with 68.1% participating in Phase I and 58.3 in Phase II. Every comp entered and every submission pushed that final number higher. Whether you were grinding comps for hours or managing to squeeze a few submissions when you could, YOU were a part of this.

I also want to take a moment to specifically recognize Orv Dessrx, who absolutely showed up for this War. Orv finished as the #1 Arconan overall and 5th place participant in the entire Brotherhood, with 946.15 points. That is an absolute massive contribution, and one that deserves to be called out on its own. For those wondering, that’s 16% of Arcona's entire point total… coming from ONE person!

With Legend Wally also making the Brotherhood top 10, in 10th place with 589.71 points, Arcona had 2 members among the Brotherhood’s best participants. Thank you both for putting in the work and to Orv for dragging across that finish line. You earned this one!

Then, of course, there are the prizes.

Everyone who participated in the War received a Techshard Pendant, and thanks to the Herald team, we also received a custom outfit and accessory for Arcona.

And because apparently winning 5 Wars in a row wasn’t enough, we also walked away with a Barghest-class Heavy Cruiser for the fleet.

So, yeah. Holy Sugar Honey Ice Tea, Arcona.

We did it again.

5 consecutive victories. 8 victories overall. First Clan of the Brotherhood.

Thank you to every single person who contributed to getting us here. This victory belongs to all of us, and I couldn’t be prouder to call myself an Arconan.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go find my scissors and celebrate. ✂️

Project Raxus

Alright, this is probably the part where I tell you that we’ve been quietly poking around in Arcona’s military and have decided that apparently we enjoy making our own lives difficult.

Over the past few weeks, the Summit has been working on something called Project Raxus.

The short version? Arcona’s military needs a little Marie Kondo-ing.

Since the last major Fleet Reset, Arcona has accumulated a lot of different ideas about what our military should look like. Some of them became fully realised, some became half finished projects, and some are essentially just sitting there because at some point someone thought, “That would be really cool.” We’ve ended up with overlapping roles, outdated equipment, redundant assets and several different military sub-units that don't necessarily fit together into a cohesive whole.

And before anyone starts sharpening the pitchforks: this isn't me saying those ideas were bad.

Quite the opposite.

Arcona has had a lot of people contribute to its military and its lore over the years. Those projects came from people who cared enough to look at the Clan and think, “I want to build something.” That's a good thing. The problem is that we're trying to maintain years' worth of different visions simultaneously, and eventually you end up with a military that is bigger, messier and more expensive than it actually needs to be.

So, we went through the whole thing.

Every ship. Every unit. Every weird little “what does this actually do?” corner of the OoB.

We sorted everything into two categories: Keep and Sell.

The idea isn't simply to make Arcona's military smaller. It's to make it more focused, more modern, more cohesive and, frankly, more useful. Assets that aren't serving a meaningful purpose can be sold, and those credits can be redirected into fewer assets that actually fill the roles we need.

The overall goal is pretty straightforward:

  • Remove redundancy.
  • Keep the military distinctly Arconan.
  • Keep us unique from other Clans.
  • Keep things reasonably grounded within the wonderfully questionable reality of Star Wars. Focus our Armed Forces around three core purposes: Force Projection, Homeland Defence and Galactic Surveillance. That means the three major branches of the military each have a much clearer job.
The Arcona Expeditionary Force

becomes what it was really intended to be: a focused force-projection group rather than a collection of ships that happen to be sitting together. At its heart is the Endurance-class Fleet Carrier, backed by a Nebula-class Destroyer, Hynestian Cruisers, fighter support and enough logistics to actually keep the thing moving once it leaves home.

The Dajorra Defence Force

becomes exactly what its name suggests: the force responsible for protecting the Dajorra System. Rather than maintaining a sprawling collection of different ships and fighters, it gets a more streamlined border-patrol and defensive role, with upgraded orbital defence and a modernized patrol force keeping watch over the system.

The Dajorra Intelligence Agency

finally gets an actual physical presence to match the important role it has always played in Arcona's fiction. Its flagship will be the Mist-class Cruiser, giving the DIA a dedicated command vessel that HQD can regularly use for intelligence operations. Supporting it is a cloaked Marauder-class command ship, which serves as a forward operating platform for the DIA, allowing its agents and assets to establish a presence well beyond Dajorra itself. Add in a dedicated surveillance vessel and VT-49 decimators, and the DIA can operate across multiple systems rather than having all of our spies apparently share one parking spot.

And then there’s the Blackwall.

This one is probably our favourite part.

A lot of Arcona’s previous elite or specialised units: CADRES, the Marshals, Soulfire, Voidbreaker, Nighthawk, the Pathfinders and others, were all attempts at creating something special. Something elite. Something that represented the absolute best Arcona had to offer.

Rather than throwing those ideas in the bin, the proposal is to bring them together into one centralised unit: the Blackwall.

Think Navy SEALs meets Secret Service.

The Blackwall would operate outside the normal military chain of command as the Citadel Guard, Summit Guard and Consul’s own specialised force. It would represent Arcona at its absolute best, while also giving those older ideas somewhere to live and evolve rather than leaving them as disconnected remnants of previous projects.

There’s another part of Raxus that we think is particularly important.

This isn't intended to erase Arcona's history.

Where possible, existing capital ship names and pieces of our military identity would be preserved and carried forward into the new structure. Names matter. They represent the people who created them and the stories that came before us. Streamlining the OoB shouldn't mean pretending those contributions never existed.

Ultimately, Project Raxus is about taking everything Arcona has accumulated over the years and asking a fairly simple question:

What do we actually need?

Not what's cool. Not what did someone want five years ago. Not what can we technically afford to keep sitting on a spreadsheet.

What makes sense for Arcona now?

The result is a smaller, more coherent military with clear roles, modern equipment and enough flexibility to actually support the stories we want to tell with it.

And yes, I realise I've just spent several paragraphs explaining why the Summit is selling everyone's favourite spaceship.

Please don't throw things at us.

At least wait until you've seen the new ones.

A Special Thanks Before wrapping up, I want to give a special thanks to Jon (aka Sashar Erinos), who originally developed and brought the full proposal for Project Raxus to the Summit. The work, time and dedication he put into developing the proposal gave us the foundation to take this project forward as a Summit and turn it into something that will benefit Arcona for years to come.

Thank you, Jon, for the effort you put into bringing this to us and giving us something worth building upon.

Final Thoughts

Well, I think that’s enough excitement for one report.

We’ve got another GJW victory under our belts, a new ship joining the fleet, some very pretty Herald rewards, and an entirely new way of looking at Arcona’s military. Not bad for a few weeks’ work.

But more than anything, I’m excited about where we go from here.

Arcona has always been a Clan that changes, grows, tears things apart, puts them back together, and occasionally sets something on fire just to see what happens. That isn’t going to change. Project Raxus is a big step forward, but it isn’t the end of the conversation. Neither is winning another War. There is always something else to build, something else to improve, and knowing us, probably something else to break.

And speaking of what’s next: go do the Great Hunt. Consider it your pre- Pro Bowl warm up. The GJW may be over, but there's no reason to put the competitive spirit away just yet. Go do some comps, have some find, and start getting those creative muscles working again. You never know when we’re going to need them.

Thank you for continuing to make this Clan what it is. Whether you’ve been here for years or you’re still finding your place, you’re part of the reason Arcona continues to be Arcona.

And yes, there are still a few things I haven’t told you about yet.

You’ll have to wait for those.

Until then, enjoy the victory. Be proud of what we accomplished, and please, for the love of everything, stop asking me where I put the scissors. Stay chaotic (responsibly).

Until the next report! ✂️

Cracking report, Nora! Thanks for sharing the wonder of Project Raxus - and well done again to the entire clan for our shared performance during the war!

Great report, love the military overhaul! Arcona Invicta!

Nice Report, love seeing the consolidating and creating something unique for the Clan. Also, I already figure those scissors are in a nice invisible pocket where you just take them out and get right to stabbing. ;)

Great report bosses. Get Ready for HQD's new Mist Opportunity :D
